Jamyus Jones with 38 pts for SP.  I can lodge my vote in the debate.  That kid can play college ball somewhere.  Has every shot, good handles, and superior quickness and hops.

The kid has an assassins attitude on offense, he just needs to translate that  to the defensive end and he would be  something extremely special.

After watching Memorial up close this past weekend, I would say they are probably the favorite to win district imo. Reminds me a little of Silsbee in that they are very deep and athletic. And they have improved a lot since the beginning of the season when I watched them at the Fred Williams. Adding Valsin from football helps them a lot too.

They  realize how Coach wants to play and they are responding to the freedom and not looking over their shoulder if they make a mistake. The feeling is that BASKETBALL is back in PA.

I agree with you about the playoffs, but this year they wouldn't have had a competitive game in 22-5A either expect maybe PAM, and I even think they blow PNG out too after what they did to Nederland this year. They would easily run through the rest of our district

I've got to say first Congratulations to the Stangs and the Orange community on a job very well done. If WOS had 5A numbers they would be a force  in 5A. But in regards to the talent level @ PAM vs WOS . I'll quote Bum Phillips in talking about  the difference a coach makes." He can take his'n and beat your'n and take your'n and beat his'n."

Ill try to be as clear as possible and then I gotta stop.

LeBron, with a godawful team, was able to beat 30 out of 32 NBA teams. He lost to 1.

2 Division 1 level talents, would not be losing games to Warren and HF. I am sorry that offends you.

The END OF THE STORY, Sabine Pass does not have 2 D1 level talents, as you proclaimed last week.

So what?  you trying to explain this to me as if I'm a 2 year old right.  Lebron /Wade / Bosh, They LOST. your point is moot because your assumption is that  they (SP) should not lose. So I don't care if they started 5 D1 signees THE TEAM LOST. Unless you are playing one on one, you don't ever lose alone. So to break this down so you can understand this is NOT a 1 on 1 tournament or a game of Horse.

Oh I see it's the End of the story again.

LeBron took a godawful team to the NBA Finals. A D1 player, and another player you claim is better than the D1 player, should have no problem beating Warren and HF.

    End of story lol

AND LOST, He also lost with D-Wade and Chris Bosh 3 of the top 10 players in the NBA at the time.  Next example please or is that the END OF THE STORY. ROFLMAO.

Sir, times have changed since 30 years ago. College coaches aren't really scouting the "team." It's the player.

Sir, my statement pertained to the FACT THAT NO ONE PLAYER TAKES THE COURT ALONE. So no matter how much things have changed since Dr Naismith cut the bottom out of peach baskets one player is not a Team. The team lost.  No schedule, standings, or  schools are listed by individual player names. When Ozen lost in Austin did They lose or did your son lose individually.

Not a lot of D1 prospects in Southeast Texas. No disrespect to any of the area players but it takes a really good baller to even get a D3 look. Some folks misunderstand a mailbox full of flyers for offers. There's a YUGE difference to quote Trump lol.

Well just like last year, with  another area player.  A ton of doubt and hate can't stop anything. To quote Jeremiah 29:11. "For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future".  Once again have a blessed day.

Well, he also said in a previous thread, that the best player for Sabine Pass was the Jones kid and  Bean was the one with the D1 offer. So the best player isn't even the D1 prospect in Spiders opinion. So, with 2 D1 talents, SP can't beat Warren or HF. Makes sense.

We are talking about high school basketball. Not even comparable to the NBA. My point is this, yes he may be a good player but unless the rest of the team is awful then these are games they should win.

@ A&M fan, the comparison illustrates that no one player alone  is the team.  @ Tigers 2010 That first Miami team with LeBron. started 9&8 or 8&9 that's 17 games. That is more than 20% of an NBA season that they struggled.   These kids with a new coach, 2 projected starters gone and 7 new players  have played 3 games Sooo... they should have it all figured out by now. Both of you guys need to go find some where else to throw shade. Of and that's Spyder with a Y. Have a blessed day.

I thought SP has a D1 player? How do you lose to HF and Warren? A true D1 player dont lose to those teams. IMO

He may have been offered but no way your that good and lose to Warren and HF .

Have any of you seen him play to opine that he's not D1. I've been watching basketball for over 30 years and no matter if it's pee-wee all the way up to NBA no one player plays alone. The TEAM lost not him by himself.
