Coach Stan Hodges will be applying. Coach Hodges did a good job making Kountze respectable and then did well at WOS. I do agree with HDBobcat9, Randy Birdwell is a rising star in the Coaching field. I look for him to apply at HD next year.

Take the spread to HD..get all those athletes in space and that scoreboard will get lit up..especially after the four horsemen leave.

We should note how much better the facilities are at the schools to the north and west.

Three game series. Thursday and Friday night at 6:30pm and Saturday at 2pm if necessary. College Park HS in the Woodlands.

Wow..pretty good way outta the way for both squads. I was thinking more along the lines of Baytown or Clear Lake area.

The final was 2-0 in 8 innings. BH out hit Magnolia 5-2 thru 7 innings and left 9 stranded. Tense moment in the 6th when Magnolia had two on and the nine hole hit a bomb to lf foul by maybe 10 feet... Both pitchers threw excellent games with unusual hot and humid weather (first game of the year I didn't bring a jacket!) In the top of the 8th BH had one reach on an error and double off the wall to put runners at 2nd and 3rd.... Squeeze was on but the pitch was high and got by to score the go ahead run. Same batter got the bunt down and no play at the plate for the second run to score. Magnolia went down in order in the bottom of the 8th.

BH has broken the 3rd round jinx! Next up Santa Fe in the fourth round who defeated Angleton 4-1 in one game series.

Whew! The pressure is off...

Where are BH and SF playing?

Uhhh, WOS has two state championships in school history. They have made it out of the region twice in 27 years. WOS winning pctg is similar to Hull-Daisetta (also one of the winningest teams in Texas history). Just in case you missed it: 2 state champions (3 championships) from SETX in the last 27 years. 30 championships from ETX teams to the North and West. WOS is one of the better teams in SETX. That is all.

Once again, just making blanket statement with no clue. Central beat Memorial 24-23 last year. WOS beat central 31-7. Last year. Not the 80s. Not the 90s. Last year. Try again.

Oh, by the way, who eliminated WOS from the playoffs last year? Did they win State? Was WOS their closest playoff game? Work that google site and get back to me.

Weve had the same results all the way back when we were a large 4a. I understand the premis of your argument but the facts are against you imo. Even back in the 90's we won 75 to 90% of our games and were arguably in one of the toughest districts in the state. Png, NederlandHey Jason, tried to call you a couple times but your phone is busy. It's 2014 sir. You and Bobcat55 can get together and talk about y'all's winning % and history, fact remains it's been an extremely long time since either school has won a state title. Hell, HD can't even get out of the first round. For that matter, it's been a long time since a setx team has won a state title..not including Houston area.

WOS will beat Newton handily. WOS will also not get out of the region. And neither will Newton.

They are both the best football program in SETx for their classification. But that's not even close to good enough for a state championship. The rest of the state is just too much better.

Isn't this the same coach that got ripped by bh posters last year when Elgin swept them?The fact your credible source says it stems from something last year has no relevance. All the superintendent can do is take action when they are made aware of an alleged incident. BH will continue to play well and the truth will eventually come out and in the mean time everybody should just enjoy the games ahead. By the way I have all my teeth and not one tattoo.

I never said one thing about them not continuing to play well. As a matter of fact, I think they will win the 4A title. In my honest and educated opinion, the coach got a raw deal. That being said, she won't be the last one that something like this happens to. It's totally unfair that all one pissed off parent has to do is say something, then administration has no choice but to do what they did, whether it has any validity or not. As far as tattoos and teeth go, a few bad apples can spoil the whole batch!
