1.
::)  I chunk whatever puts fish in the boat!!!
Me too brutha!  Whatever puts the goods on the table. I get a kick out of those guys that say they only trout fish with arties...  strictly because of the sport.  If it's for the sport,  why not mullet fish? Now THAT would be a real challenge!  Or maybe try trout fishing with something that DOESN'T look like a shrimp or fish!  Those guys crack me up. Probably the same guys that feed deer all year long,  then in Nov., hide in a tree,  300 yards away with a $500 snipers rifle and pick them off when they come in for the food they've been trained to eat.  Then they call themselves good hunters??? OK....I'm off the soap box now.  :o
 2. I don't.  No particular reason.  But I DO use a long shank hook.  Don't know the size.... never learned that stuff.  :/
 3. IMO the one by the RV park is too steep.  I like the one near the break wall.
 4. LOL!  Thanks tvc.  Could you get a little more specific?    LOL      Yeah,  I forgot about that ramp.  I like that one better than the one by the RV park.  That one is too steep. Thanks again for going through the trouble.
I prefer the pleasure island marina.  No current to deal with.
..... or the Parks and Wildlife ramp on the south levee before you get to the marina. No current and even better protected from the wind.
Where is that one at? I hit the North end lake Wed.  Nothing happening.  Not even on the LA side.  Tide was way out and not moving...not good. Really surprised that the bird action was non-existent.  Typically,  during this time of the year,  the birds are awesome.  Confusing.  Seriously considering a run to Big Lake next.  Never been there tho. Have any of you been there?
 6.
The best coach PNG has ever had, Doug Ethridge, was the Head Coach AND O.C.  So, yes, it can be done.  But, when a coach is 100% sold on the spread, then he has to have a good QB EVERY year.  Now, can every head coach develop QB's every year?  No!  Or, can the HC ensure that he can have a top quality QB coach every year that can. Sometimes you have to adjust your system to your personnel.  When some HC's are so embedded in their system they are unwilling to change.  I think this was PNG's problem this year.
Good post Smitty.  I see it as a system that Coach Faircloth KNOWS,  and that he probably wouldn't be effective with a system that he is unfamiliar with.  Just like Burnette trying the spread.  Didn't work for him. I've heard from too many sources for it to be un-true,  that there were issues among the players this yr.,  and that alone will keep a team from playing as a team,  especially when you have no super stars. Sometimes,  those type issues can't be coached. I have 100% faith in BF and I certainly know that he loves those kids  and is teaching life lessons as well.  I like that.  And before a know-it-all says something like "Life lessons won't help him keep his job", ...  of course it won't.    We all know that.  I agree that the defense is a big concern,  and has been since BF got here.  With a decent defense this yr.,  we make the playoffs. My hope is that they will complete the puzzle soon and all of you guys will have to worry about us again. Don't worry..................................it's coming.
 7.
Playoffs for PN-G next season, I guarantee it. It might be more than just that playoff berth also, MCM is gonna be interesting next season  ;) 8)
I won't be doubting you again,  unless you really blow a big one!  :)
 8.

Chased the birds a couple of afternoons last week.  Lots of birds but mostly undersized trout, sandtrout and an occasional redfish.
In my experience fishing under birds yields mostly smaller trout. I'm no professional, but that has been my experience.
Always hit or miss.  I generally find there to be a mix.  Slow your retrieve a bit.  The larger ones are often under the schoolies. Some times I find all keepers in a school and sometimes none at all.
 9.
WTG Dawgs.  Do me a favor.  Keep winning and knock out SC!  Lol
I just don't see that happening. TBH,  I expect SC to make it all the way to the big dance.
 10. Agreed,  but Central is no Dayton,  and at this point of the season,  all playoff teams should be clicking on all cylinders.  I'm sure Ned is too,  which is my point.  I know they judge by the entire season,  but the rankings are tweaked each week too. It was just my opinion.
 11. Me thinks that BH might actually win a playoff game this yr.    Livingston is not all that.
 12. IMO,  SC should be ahead of Ned.  A 45-7 win over Dayton is WAY better than a 45-14 win over Central.
 13. Struck out.  Water was like choc. milk!  :/
 14. Going to try for flounder tomorrow.    Let ya know how it goes.
 15. After seeing both play,  the nod goes to SC.  Just too many weapons,  IMO
 16. Tipping my head dress to Ned for this game.  Should be a great one.
 17.
told yall the talent level would be back up at PN-G soon, just had to get past this year.  ;)
You da' Man!      8)
 18. And Freshmen Purple goes 10-0 with win over Liv.  30-12
 19. Disclaimer:  That is according to the text that I got.  I am in Charlotte, NC right now.  :/
 20. PNG Freshmen  over Liv  23-6  near halftime.
 21.

Just got back from Sabine.  Same story.  Lots of birds but very few keepers.  Only kept a couple of reds and a couple of trout.
you need to invest in an LA license.  everything's a keeper!
Just don't forget to trailer your boat in LA.
 22.

True,  but there was something to chat about last yr.  No suspense this time.  Except for how obnoxious "Reba" will be this yr.
You are right but I never thought in my life time that PNG fans would just disappear with only a hand full finishing out the season. We don't have many who are all ways here supporting our Lions year round, but the few we have we are always here, talking a little trash and eating our crow. To some of us it's all good either way, but some just like to dish it out. So really It's not meant for you but for those who only get on the parade wagon. ;D ;D
And those guys are MIA.  ;)
