1. It has been brought to my attention that the PNG/BH thread has disappeared. It seems that when I was trying to delete a post that I decided not to make... I must have deleted it. My Bad. My apologies to both sides and to this board. The moral of the story... they really shouldn't let me play with the buttons...
2. For real? wow, glad to know he didn't break it! Great kid!!!
3. It IS a big thing, but Bost was the holder, so when he got knocked out, a new guy stepped up. He'll get some reps in and be fine. I'm more concerned about the guys coming in around the outside. That one was offsides several times (no call), but that's been our Achilles Heal all season.
4. My pick was PNG 35 Jags 24 Jags let me down a bit. lol
5. The Indians take this one. Central always puts up a good fight, but they just don't have enough to beat us this year. PNG 35 Jags 24

8.
You just let the tide puch you across the shell.  Find water 10-12 foot deep and then get a jig that is heavy enough to get on the bottom.  No reeling necessary.  Just let out line until you occasionally tick the bottom.  If you aren't hanging up some, you are not deep enough.  Once you get it right, just hop it and let it sink back.  When the fish are in there, usually starting in late february, it's that simple.    Just go north from the causeway until you see boats grouped up.    When you catch a couple, note the depth.  That's where you will want to be.  Even better, throw out a buoy and drift past that same spot a few times.
Spot on Westend.  You MUST be moving,  and if you aren't losing baits,  you're not deep enough.  My wife refuses to fish with me when I go there  :)  J/K The trout are feeding on eels usually.  Fish with bass worms, rigged on a 1/4  or 3/8 oz. jig head.  Fire & ice or Fire Tiger always seemed to work for me.
9. It's just about time to hit the shell reefs.  Any of you guys fish there too?

11.
Greg Tepper‏@Tepper The attendance at today's Class 4A Division I state title game here at Cowboys Stadium: 27,948. Texas high school football, y'all. #txhsfb
Wow!  Not even close.  A bit surprised.
12. If they do break the attendance record,  there should be an asterisk by the label that denotes the fact that it was not accomplished by 2 teams, rather multiple teams within several games.    There's no way that the officials can compare one to the other.
13.
Dick Dowlen Park has been producing tons of flounder.
Still???
14. So,  how are the flounder nowadays?  My NEW boat is in the shop.....AGAIN..(cracked weld)  and I hope to get it back this week and would love to hit some flatties (or trout).  Any new reports?  Thanks!
15. Still waiting for it to hit the fan...................  8)
16.
Time to warm up the forum again. Congratulations to the kids of Nederland on an incredible season. Your defense is every bit as stout as the fans have been saying.  VERY IMPRESSIVE to hold GTOWN to 27yards on the ground in the 1st half and snag two picks.  So what happened? I'm curious to hear from the Nederland fans if they have faced ANY team in 4A that looked like this year's GTown squad.  4 quarters of dealing with their O-line is gonna wear out most 4A teams.  Your lack of offense has been a known issue all season, so seeing 6 points on the scoreboard shouldn't be a shock to anyone. A Nederland vs Angleton or SC game would have be VERY interesting.  I still believe Nederland's lack of offense would have proved their undoing vs Angleton or SC. I see either game being much closer. Nederland holding both squads to around 24 points and Nederland maybe getting 14 points.  Its clear your DB's can play, so maybe the score would have been reversed. It obviously sucks to see my SC Bulldogs lose in the 2nd round, but Angleton or Nederland can't boast about beating GTown either.  Angleton gets the offensive pat on the back for scoring the most on GTown and Nederland clearly gets the defensive pat on the back for holding GTown the longest.  SC gets two pats on the back for still being the GREATEST SHOW ON TURF! I know, I know, Nederland fans "won't complain" ...but they have every right to do so.  You got robbed ...and took an unwarranted smack in the mouth along the way.
WOW!  You still grasping at that 5A/4A  excuse?  Man,  get life dude!
17. What I saw was  Ned team who's offense was way out of sync and a defense that were handed several gifts (bad passes)  but decided not to accept them (dropped interceptions).  Those int's would have changed the momentum BIG TIME in the early going.  The D also committed way too many penalties,  several of them needless (PF).  They were baited by GT and they took the bait. Perhaps NED was feeling too confident after last week's upset?  IDK.  I just know that this wasn't the normal Bulldog team of late. An awesome season,  and a lot to be proud of,  no doubt. BTW,  where were all the GT folks?  They all could have easily fit in the lower deck.
