Nederland IS a more complete team, IMO. As good as Vidor is (and they really are) when they face a team with a real run defense, they are going to be in big trouble. In the playoffs, you've got to be able to perform all functions well, or you are out.

You're exactly right, but Vidor's overall intensity was 100 times better than ours. They were shooting through our big line like they weren't even there. Kudos to the coaching staff, because they have truly done an awesome job preparing. -

It looks that way because the QB only acts like he's the only receiver on the field. Not too hard to defend us when everyone in the stadium knows where the pass is going. >:( -

No doubt about it. But EVERY team has some obnoxious folks that say stupid things. People like to brag because of all the records, and the fact that we travel well, but the reality is, no one wants to sit in lousy weather and watch their beloved team get taken to the woodshed.
As much as I love PNG football, this entire year has been difficult to watch, and I don't fault folks for not coming, or leaving early. But let's face it, people love to find anything they can to dog PNG for, and that's only because we have a history of coming out on top most of the time. That's fine. But every team has the same issues. That's what I was pointing out. -

I went in Sabine Lake last Tue. am. Was back home by noon w/ a limit of NICE trout and 1 nice red. The reports that I have gotten since then have not been as good. But I AM pretty good tho! :)

Were you surprised? Not me. I've complained about the "mass exodus" for decades.
I guess it's a status symbol for people to say that they sat in line for 5 hrs. for tickets, but won't stay at the game more than 2 hrs. I don't get it. -

That's why I've said what I have about Ned. Just didn't see any real fire power like we've been subject to this yr.

Hoping for a win and saying you ARE GOING TO WIN, are 2 totally different things. I have been hoping for a win all year, but have never said "we will win". Big difference.

Now think about it Baddog, shouldn't a state ranked, top 10 team, playing a 2-8 team that has given up probably 300 points so far this season, beat a down team like that by40 points or more? I predicted that we would lose by 50! That's how ineffective we have been this season.
Forget the rivalry aspect, because a playoff scenario will be more vital. Ned should have REALLY beat us to a pulp, but it just didn't happen. -

To be honest, I don't see how Ned is ranked so high. If they couldn't do more damage to PNG than that, they should drop this week. Take away the stooooopid throw, for the pic 6,, when we were about to score, and this game has a totally different look.
I agree, that NED could have run on us all night, w/o ever having to throw, but when they did, they were very effective (against a secondary that is almost non-existent???)
Ned was just not that impressive. Heck, WOS, LCM and Summer Creek actually gave us a good ol' fashioned butt-whoopin (as stated above), but not Nederland.
They are good, but not as good as their ranking. -
This picture was taken mid way through the 4th quarter, or later. The fan base stayed MUCH longer than I anticipated.

When I was comparing the all time record i stated that ALOT of times the scores were close, but then some were lopsided....so not all the games were close....When comparing just the last 15 years...The Nederland Faithful seem to think they have dominated us...which isnt the case.
