  2. as you know of course these schedules are usually agreed upon and planned a few years in advance.  If you look back to 2012 I believe lost to BC like 50 to 0 and was losing to these schools.  So it kinda makes sense and I expect that  Coach Neece understands the importantance of quality opponets and if he could have scheduled better competetion he would have.

Good luck to your Eagles and we appreciate your support!

Wrong this schedule was not made a few years in advance this schedule was made in Jan to Feb around realignment time. He could of scheduled more quality opponents if he really wanted to go out and find them that is what Newton did Tatum, Henderson, WOS they are out there you just have to be willing to travel and play them.

  3. Newton scored on those drives anyways.... It looked like the eagles let off the gas in the second half. Our defense stiffened a little, but not that much. There were some really talented kids wearing purple out there last night.

After playing Kirbyville and Newton the last two weeks, I've got to say that Newton is still the team to beat.

Did you hear that its wildcat 1980 blowing a gasket :)
The cardinals did play hard all night those younger kids have a chance to be good if they stay at it
  4. Newton buses there kids home after practice if they need a ride. Newtons school district stretches a long ways around the area so if they didn't offer this a lot of the kids wouldn't be able to do football. Some of these kids live as far as 25 miles from the high school down HWY 87 to Old Salem Community and Trout Creek Community. Some live down some long county roads in the middle of nowhere

    and injury free ball game.[/quote]
Why should I look it up your the guy who ran off at the mouth about it you prove it
  6. Kville didn't school anyone Newton didn't play that SCRIMMAGE like a real game like Kville did. Newton stayed in same formation all night working on some things. Elam didn't even play in the live half and Newton's best back didn't even play Calum Foster. If that would of been a real game it would of been a different outcome. Newton would of broke out different things and not to mention Newton had 5 INTs against kville in that scrimmage so I wouldn't say the cats dominated anyone. A couple of those picks Newton had would of been pick 6s to
  7. I was told that:

JV it was 1 to 1
Varsity it was 0-0 in the series
Varsity 2 qtrs was Newton 14 Anahuac 8
Anahuac was inside the 10 as time expired

You were misinformed on the series part Newton scored 1 time maybe twice there. Anahuac didn't really do a lot on offense moving the ball they crossed midfield 1 time during the half they played and that was during the last two minutes when newton had a bad punt and Anahuac started just over midfield. There score came on a bad toss by newtons sophomore backup qb and the panthers took it to the house. I do like the new coach at anahuac if they will leave him alone could possibly do some things there. All in all newton looked a little better than last week and actually ran some more plays than they did last week. Newton will be fine come district play and will be rolling come playoff time
