There is one other way that a student can live with a guardian and not have to sit out a year of Varsity in UIL . An international student can apply for a Parent Residence Waiver. Everyone is just reading the basic rules of eligibility...need to dig deeper

It's not his brother. And he' 6'4 or 6'5. Also a junior. He's an ok plàyer. Not a starter @ any of the good local schools

He's a junior. I dont have video but watched him play. He is the real deal. Shot blocker, aggressive, good foot work, nice touch. If he plays, his team will go undefeated deep into the playoffs.

Gonna be a tough one for me. My daughter goes to LSU and my son wants to go to TXA&M. Have to pull for teams when they take your money. Plus I'm the President of Lamar's Cardinal Club. High school is even harder. Coach at Kelly but also have coached kids in AAU from Nederland, HJ, HF, Ozen, Silsbee, Kountze, Central, Baytown Lee, Buna, WOS, PAM and West Brook. I pull for all of them.

Baylor was trying to keep that #4 ranking....which they don't deserve. Lamar will turn heads this year

LOL!! Didn't commit to the YMBL...we are going to the Nederland Bulldog Classic that weekend. The other tourneys are The Gamble and St. Louis Classic. Hell the St. Louis Classic in Lake Charles is up there with any of our local tournaments. And to answer your question about whether or not he is going to Central, lets just say that he's not there yet. Still not enrolled. Right now, no one knows what's going on with the kid. But the door at Kelly is still open....cracked slightly open lol

The tournament schedule was set before Shaq showed up lol. Still think we will surprise some folks

He is solid! Very good player at 7'3. But Kelly will more than likely not get him. Too many TAPPS hurdles and he needs to get in school now. So if you want to see him for yourself, I would start by taking a trip to Central HS

Please remember, he isn't officially at Kelly yet. Too many things can go wrong when trying to get a international student in. But if we can't get him in, my guess is that he will be wearing Maroon....BEAUMONT Maroon.

That Huntington tournament was a good one. Very well organized and we got to see some teams that we would normally not see locally.

No not this year. We had an opportunity to stay close to home and all three teams can play in the Nederland tournament. Huntington was JV & Varsity only.

Confirmed it with Coach Coleman at PAM last week and we are already in the Gamble. Our three tournaments will be the Nederland Bulldog Classic, James Gamble and St. Louis Classic in Lake Charles.
