It is crazy...never figured it this way either but would take any different...minus Kountze going undefeated...LOL...certainly has made it fun! No matter what guys lets all go into the playoffs and giv'em heck...maybe we get a chance to see one another down the road. That's what I'm pulling for because that mean this district made some noise. Heart felt best of luck to Warren, Buna and our #4? Whatever happens Friday happens and I can live with it because Warren and Buna are quality teams with great young men!

The district championship is there for whoever wants it the most. Best of luck to all but I hope my Warriors or the hungriest. By the way, this Jeremy Roberts fellow must be a transplant. Most of us from Warren prefer to just let the boys actions speak for themselves.

Of course bro...that's why I said "I know he has given up hits and runs" ie....7 era but my statement about errors was really in regards to wins and losses as a team.

IMO...I would put this kid up against any player in this area and know he would compete. I think we as parents and fans look at just hitting and pitching as the indicator for being the best guy on dirt. I think it's much deeper than that...I think baseball has to be categorized and broken down. Obviously pitching is vital and so is hitting but without fielding and arms in the field it's becomes a craps game. Baseball is a team sport and to win day in and day out it has to be a team effort...are there game changers: yes absolutely. Can those guys win you tight games in situations: yes. But all in all its the team functioning as a unit that wins championships ect...so with all that being said this kid is a game changer and college scouts and MLB guys are always on the hunt for that kinda player. Where this kid goes is a mystery; of course we have clues and some foreshadowing due to his performances, but nothing in stone...a lot time and a lot of work will be the only thing that brings his story...his future to fruition. Let the kid enjoy the ride without crazy expectations or projected vision of grandsire. Best of luck Andrew and God Bless!

Buna's pitching really stepped up this week. The kid stepped up and pitched a good game against the Dville P rats then the 2 seniors did their thing against Hardin and Anahuac to keep our rotation straight. This week could have killed our pitching with 3 games in 4 days but the boys and the bats stepped up and we are set to go next week with a full pitching staff ready to go.

Good thing for the field goal kicker...that could've been ugly.

I did not say that the kid did not deserve some sort of punishment...DID I...no! As a matter of he did get punished, but I also that there is more to this than being promoted and it ain't about him Tossing a helmet not throwing..."TOSSING"...please man! I know this young man and he is a first class kid. The first to get to practice and the last to leave. He is a kid that would do anything his coached asked him to do. He is respectful and gives 150% to me that's a leader, but hey take it overboard. I'm not going to drink the Koolaid in this case, because I know the character of this young man! Next level kids are going to that level because they are passionate and performance aggressive...they are not perfect and they have emotions just like you or me...he served his punishment for what he did! That is my point why take it further unless it's about more than the kid????😉

man I'm telling you...LOL...we play Kirbyville Friday then a week later Warren then a week later Buna...this district is crazy...I would love to take each teams top two or three and put them on a summer team together and watch them roll! Team name (23.3 Dirtbags)...team motto: come getcha some!

I was thinking the same thing before our game yesterday.  Going to be a fun finish.  Really how it should be though.  How better to get ready for the play-off's then already having pressure games leading up to it.

Rain over the next 7 days is gonna really throw a monkey wrench into the pitching rotations and put teams with limited pitching in a serious bind if we end up with 2 or 3 cancelled games.  UIL says the games have to be made up at the first available open date...which could mean for example: Tues, Thursday, Friday, Saturday type set up...then back to schedule the following week with arms in recovery mode...WOW...this could really shake things up IMO.

140 is a lot of pitches, especially if any of them were breaking balls, so no way, especially since he isn't a pitcher at next level!
