if it wasn't for a few mental lapses and POOR officiating . Ozen doubles up Central tonight easily. But a win is a win. S/O to Trey Gip, Tyleor Broussard,and Josh Boyd they played great tonight . Funny thing ppl in the stands kept saying #0 is too small but every game he plays he keeps silencing the naysayers. Kid is a dog on the court , size doesnt matter when you have that trait in you. .

And you say that because Bush smashed Silsbee by 30 stop the foolishness. EVERY year you guys say the same thing and the outcome never changes. Ozen is battle tested their problem isnt with Houston teams. And Central would also handle anyone out of that district. I respect Bush they have a very good coach and a solid team but Ozen has better guard play. Imo Elkins is a better team they mirror Ozen.

Ozen is nice but I was impressed with Bridge City gym , i walked in and was instantly amazed. Very nice. But the best overall gym is EC . Baytown Lee and Central have the worst gyms sorry Soulja.

I can see where he is coming from . It did seem like they were backing Central 100% with everything. They had the opportunity but loading up your teams doesnt get you a championship maybe paper champs but not state champs.

There isnt a gap in basketball anymore. Kids are not scared to compete against other kids like it was back in the day. I respect any opponent because you can always have that day when you will get beat. Nothing wrong with feeling like you are supposed to win i dont think anyone coach or player with have it any other way. Summer basketball has grown so much and has given kids another platform to get better.

Oh yes i know that im talking about the disrespect Nederlands fans show towards Ozen as opposed to Central . Its always positive things to say about Central like their scared to say what they really feel but with Ozen they let it all hang out. idk jmo

I have a question for the Nederland the fan base just curious it seems when you play Ozen you feel you can compete but when you play Central you feel like you dont have snowballs chance in hell. I m just asking so no one get bent outta shape

Ozen has some talent not as much as ppl think the program does a great job of developing talent. Which allows guys to flourish in the system like Comeaux who was under the radar ,#0 Tyleor Broussard who has played great, #31 Demonta Patterson,#23 Darrian Jones, and thats just to name a few, plus there are about 3-4 guys on JV who could arguably be on varsity So we love when some ppl think our best players leave and we wont challenge for a state title we just keep reloading.

And Honest Abe im only going by MaxPrep results but Ozen record against Nederland 14-4 last 18 games. Against Central 12-4 in the last 16. So Beaumont schools are roughly 26-8 against nederland and thats competitive right man stop it. I dont see where he's been successful against them, do the kids play hard yes ,they do they run their system to perfection yes, but let me know when he gets above .500. And yea yea 2014 Colton spin move game winner but you cant live in the past forever. If thats the highlight for Nederland program they have a longggggg way to go.

So name them since you say we've had more D1 players. Not including juco or d2 or d3.

And what Nederland fans dont understand is Beaumont has literally 5 high schools WB, Central, Ozen,Kelly,Legacy. Nederland has one high school so every kid in middle school knows what HS they are attending which makes it easier to establish your system at the lower levels. You play in the same system from lil dribblers to hs . All English has to is implement and trust the coaches the to teach it to the kids. Beaumont doesnt has have that luxury but one thing Ozen has is a program and the tradition of that program has been passed down from Boutte to Saveat and after he is gone to whoever is next in line. So if you want to out an asterik next to the wins against Nederland because we have talent then fine but that sure is alot of asterisks

It all boils down to Nederland lost and SOME not all Nederland got their panties in a bunch and faces turned upside down. 0-2 try again next year remember just being competitive and acually winning are two different things. And Baller 93 what are you really saying about Coach Boutte or Coach Saveat that they cant win unless they have talent? Im dying to hear it lollll ... Its not all anout X's & o's sometimes but about getting kid to buy into your system. I mean could English coach at a Ozen or Central i wont say the man couldnt but he sure would have his hands full delaing with alot of unforseen situations.
