  1. 4th qtr, because only thing I have to gauge, not a true full game reflection by no means. Length, because they have more than PNG, lol. Compared to some other top teams they are short. Mollee had a great 1st half shooting at BH, but did fade in 2nd half. I just hope it is a close competitive game and that we get to the fourth qtr with a chance.
  2. Mollee Priddy matched up with her in the fourth qtr and kept her out of the paint last game. I would like to see us run a man to man defense and have Priddy match up with Carter the entire game. Our man defense keeps the entire defense engaged and moving the whole time which leads to more fast break points for us. That was the biggest difference in the second go around with Dayton and PAM. First game against Dayton, Soph scored 32 points against us, second time around Priddy matched up with her and she didn’t score until 2 minutes left in the third qtr. First time against PAM it was a 5 point game and we ran a zone. This past Tuesday we ran man and ran them off the court. We also shot really well in the first 2 qtrs against PAM. BH poses a match up problem with their length. PNG Seniors will be playing their last game at home, so hopefully will be playing some high intensity basketball! The game definitely favors BH.
  3. I have Ned in 3rd next year. No way are they competing with BH The next three years or United over the next two years. Talent is just at a different level.
  4. OF has several Seniors, Jasper has several girls as well.
  5. #1 Ashlon Jackson - HJ - Soph #2 Jordyn Beaty - Woodville - Senior #3 Delana Carter - BH - Frehman #4 P Anderson - United - Soph #5 (Homer Alert) Mollee Priddy - PNG - Senior I would lump several girls in with my kid at that #5 spot Asia Wheeler at HJ, Delberta Gillery at HJ
  6. 70 is the magic number! Priddy and Stampley need to combine for 40 and the rest of the team needs to chip in 30!
  7. Just wondering if anybody outside of me on here thinks PNG has a shot at pulling the upset over Barbers Hill on Friday? If we play defense like we did against Dayton the last time and knock down shots all 4 qtrs like we did in the first two qtrs last night against PAM, I think we could pull an upset, definitely going to be a hard uphill battle. We have to force Freshman PG to shoot outside and not penetrate the paint. She takes advantage of you when she gets that deep. Priddy went 3-4 from deep against PAM in the 1st qtr and got an And 1 for 12 points Stampley went 4-5 in the first half from Deep and I believe finished with 15 points If the post can stay calm collect Off rebounds and score off of those I’m confident we can do it. Intensity and Hustle has to be out of this world too.
  8. I have always heard the “Travel” part with the sports other than football was due to them playing on Tuesday nights/twice a week, but that doesnt make a whole lot of sense when you are forcing a school like Jasper to travel over two hours one way for three different district foes, with the closest district foe being an hour away, when you have other 4A district and teams way closer than that.

Games left by team Barbers Hill - PNG, Cleveland PNG - BH, Vidor Dayton - Nederland, PAM PAM - Cleveland, Dayton Nederland - Dayton, OPEN Vidor - OPEN, PNG Cleveland - PAM, Barbers Hill Never thought I would say this but, LETS GO BULLDOGS! Beat the Broncos Friday night!
  12. Yea, PAM is not anywhere close to United or BH, unless they have some middle school girls coming up. They still have a speedster at the PG position, but they don’t have any real height like they had with Julia Sion.
  13. I might make some Tuesday games, but will be making a bunch of Friday/weekend trips to San Antonio or whatever out of town destination my daughter will be playing at for Trinity University, so hopefully the BH vs United falls on a Tuesday.
  14. Barbers Hill and Beaumont United will be battling for the top spot, with my thought being United will have the edge. I think BH will have the best player in the district with then Soph PG, but she will be losing a lot of length on her supporting cast. Then, it will be a fight for the third and fourth spot with a big drop off in talent between, Nederland, Crosby, PAM (They lose several girls) and possibly PNG (They lose their top two scorers, but have some young talent that is stepping up). Then you will have GP taking Cleveland’s place.
  15. Ugh, poor Coach Schu, closest school is an hour away, then two schools at least 2 hours away.
