  6. If your curious how great an offense from a mid level SEC/P5 team in Texas compares to a 2nd year low to mid level Sunbelt/G5 team in Texas here you go. Last week- Texas State @ ULM 22-18 This week- ULM @ Texas A&M 16-21 Texas State Offense: 17 First downs 370 yards Total Offense 141 Passing 229 Rushing Turnovers 0 Coach Dennis Franchione Texas A&M Offense: 16 First downs 243 yards Total Offense 106 Passing 137 Rushing Turnovers 2 Coach Kevin Sumlin For a majority of their fan base that has been thumping their chest on this WRTS bs y'all sure don't fit the bill after yesterday's performance. Moral of the story, your crap does stink and you don't run squat. I'm only pointing this out because I hope to see better character for a change from those select few Ag fans out there with a big head.
  7. 2016 DB Target Brian Bullock of Round Rock has his first offer from Texas State.  He is currently receiving interest from Baylor, TCU, Oklahoma, and Stanford also.  With that said it's only a matter of time before he starts landing P5 offers.  He was one of the many recruits on hand for last Saturday's home game and expressed that Texas State is making quite the impression on the young athlete.  His recent visit marks the 5th time he's made it to Texas State's Campus.   "What really stands out about Texas State are the fans, they are energetic the whole game.  I'm considering Texas State heavily right now.  I'm just so familiar with the program." said Bullock.

  9. Yeah we tend to have a little more common sense in San Marcos.  Approach the school with an organized plan and ask for permission; it's that easy.
  10. Thought this was pretty cool.  I would like to see one done for every one of 12 FBS teams in Texas and see how gameday atmosphere's compare; especially the P5 programs.   [Hidden Content]
  11. New Defensive offer on the table going to 6'4" 227lb Rahn Bailey of Cypress Falls.  He currently remains committed to Bowling Green but the TXST offer has him interest enough to pay a visit to San Marvelous this weekend.    Rahn Bailey Quotes:   "Texas State recently started talking to me and offered, they are a school I'm looking at,"    "I'm solid to Bowling Green for now, but want to see what the Bobcats have to offer."   "I'm ready to see the environment, sit back and think if I could see myself going there and even more, will I enjoy my four years there"   [Hidden Content]

  15. Edit: ah nevermind maybe second times a charm
  16.   Correction to Austin's offer list.  He holds 10 offers with UTSA, SMU, Harvard, Cornell, Navy, Air Force, Nevada, Texas State, New Mexico, and Louisiana Monroe topping the list.   "Texas State is my newest offer, so i am still trying to do more research and learn more about them," said Corbett. "I plan on taking a visit to San Marcos, sometime in September, and if they impress me, they definitely have a chance to break into my top five."
  17. In regards to your retarded and childish comment, here's some education to go along with that HS degree. Opinion - a view or judgment formed about something, not necessarily based on fact or knowledge. synonyms: belief, judgment, thought(s), (way of) thinking, mind, (point of) view, viewpoint, outlook, attitude, stance, position, perspective, persuasion, standpoint; More
  18. [Hidden Content]   DCTF's 2014 Texas College Power Poll — Week Two #  School  Week 1 Rank   1  Baylor Bears  1 EJ Holland: The offense wasn’t as explosive as we expected, but the defense, especially up front, was lights out. SMU’s quarterbacks had no time make proper reads, and the Mustangs were limited to a mere 67 yards of total offense. Baylor keeps the top spot for now, but injuries to Bryce Petty and Antwan Goodley are concerning.   2  Texas A&M Aggies  2 Greg Tepper: The most impressive team in the state in Week One, winning at South Carolina proved two things: that there is life after Johnny Manziel (his name is Kenny Hill) and that the Aggies will be SEC West contenders every year that Kevin Sumlin is on the sideline.   3  Texas Longhorns  4 EJ Holland: To say the Texas defense was stifling would be an understatement. The Longhorns completely shut down North Texas and held the Mean Green to 17 passing yards. 17! But David Ash is out with concussion symptoms again and Dominic Espinosa, a key cog along the offensive line, was lost for the year.   4  TCU Horned Frogs  6 Greg Tepper: It's hard to gauge much from a win over Samford, but the offense looked noticeably better and more explosive. Maybe Trevone Boykin has turned the corner as the team's signal-caller.   5  UTSA Roadrunners  9 EJ Holland: Whoa! We don’t think anybody that doesn’t live in San Antonio saw that one coming. UTSA’s defense put on a dominant display against a veteran Houston offense that was supposed to be downright explosive. And the offense did more than enough in Tucker Carter’s first start at quarterback. The Roadrunners are for real.   6  Houston Cougars  3 Greg Tepper: Thud. The Coogs flopped in the grand opening of TDECU Stadium, and must figure out how to get their offense out of the mud. The good news: the defense looks pretty good.   7  Rice Owls  5 EJ Holland: Nobody expected the Owls to go down in South Bend and take down the nationally ranked Fighting Irish. Rice, however, was very competitive in the first half and has some major positives to build on. We still fully expect Rice to be a C-USA title contender.   8  Texas Tech Red Raiders  7 Greg Tepper: Did the Red Raiders forget to set their alarm clock? Tech sleepwalked through their game with Central Arkansas and came away with a 7-point win. They're better than they played on Saturday — or, at least, Tech fans had better hope they are.   9  Texas State Bobcats  10 EJ Holland: Yes, Arkansas Pine-Bluff is not a very good FCS team. But boy, the Bobcats looked really impressive. Tyler Jones was masterful at the helm, Robert Lowe had no trouble finding daylight and David Mayo led a stingy defense that came away with the shutout.   10  North Texas Mean Green  8 Greg Tepper: The Mean Green's offense sputtered and stalled all game against Texas, and it all starts with the quarterback. UNT has to find better and more consistent play under center if they're going to get back to a bowl.   11  UTEP Miners  12 EJ Holland: The Miners almost stumbled late but made big plays when it mattered most to pull out a momentum boosting win over New Mexico. UTEP must be on Cloud 9 after last year’s disappointing season. Will there be more wins to come? If Aaron Jones keeps running over defenders, the answer is definitely.   12  SMU Mustangs  11 Greg Tepper: The Mustangs were completely and totally overmatched by Baylor, which is OK if you're an FCS opponent but not so much for a team hoping to bounce back from a disappointing 2013 season. The Ponies need answers offensively, and fast.
  19. Anything with the words Bleacher Report and College Football is usually 85% -90% crap.  The writers that make their polls don't pay attention to anything.    I find USA Today's a little more reasonable [Hidden Content]
  20. 2016 Trevor Speights 5'10" 196lb RB of McAllen Memorial just received an offer also.  The 4star RB is currently committed to Arizona but is weighing other options.
  21. New offer went out to 6'4" 215lb OLB Austin Corbett of Plano East HS.  He currently has offers from Navy, Nevada, UTSA, and ULM.
  22. Not flashy and clean [Hidden Content]
  23. Nothing groundbreaking to report on just like everyone else in the state.  In the meantime here's a Minaj video to keep you occupied :D   [Hidden Content]
  24. Commitment #11 is in 6'2" 255LB DE Malik Manciel of Florence HS committed to Texas State coaching staff last night.  Another much needed big body who has a high ceiling. He also had offers from Mississippi State, Arkansas State, Louisiana Lafayette, Southern Miss, UAB, and Western Kentucky.   Here is the only video I have of him.  He appears at around the 1:30 mark [Hidden Content]
  25. I look for the coaching staff to pull Josh's offer. He committed but claims he isn't 100%. That is a big NO-NO at TXST.
