I see we're a day behind on this forum. I know it's hard to keep up with all the tomfoolery but I thought we would've already moved on to Drump trying to pressure Comey to end the Russia investigation into Mike Flynn the day after he was fired. The existence of Comey's memo has already been verified but the script hasn't been authenticated. If proven to be true as written it will be stronger evidence of obstruction of justice than the Nixon tape from the Oval Office where H.R. Adelman and Nixon were caught talking about how to suppress the investigation of the break in. When this information does come out I hope there's a republican with the gall of Barry Goldwater that will go to the White House like he did with Nixon and tell him his time is over.

The difference with what Bush and Obama did is that they had all the information that was going to be shared vetted through national security agencies as to not compromise any sources or operations. What's even more disturbing about these reports is the information the president revealed may have been collected through the Israeli Mossad which is probably the only intelligence agency on par with our CIA in the world. You can rest assure Russia's best friend Iran will find some way to thwart the collection techniques of Israel due to our president's mouth.

McMaster would not have left directly out of the meeting and informed three intelligence agencies what the president had just told a foreign adversary. Since the president can declassify information anything that comes out of his mouth is legal. What's illegal is revealing a classified source which is what McMaster saying didn't happen. Doesn't matter if he gave up the "source" of the information though, he gave them the information itself. That information can be traced back to the "source", which is believed to be in Syria, and "source" will most likely be compromised or executed due to the president's mouth. Not only that, what allies will trust us with their intel. from now on when you have president who arbitrarily gives it out to adversaries?

The problem the democrats have is the same problem the Alabama state legislature had with their governor. The person under investigation will get to appoint the person that will continue the investigation into their wrong doing. Again I just ask, imagine if this was Obama appointing someone to investigate him? The right would want to impeach him for obstruction of justice.

The US developed a source inside the Islamic state, the information they were getting from him was highly classified and given a "code word". In a meeting with the Sergei Lavrov and Sergei Kislyak, the Russian ambassador/foreign minister with Kislyak being a known spy, Trump divulged the "code word" information to our mortal adversary. The White House is spinning it saying "the president can declassify anything" which is true. The problem comes in because the information he divulged was given to the US by another allied spy agency under the understanding that it wouldn't be shared with anybody. General McMaster yesterday said the story about tRump revealing classified sources was false, but that's not how the report read. tRump idiotically revealed the information the source gave them which an adversary like Russia could back-engineer to determine the source themselves and give a country like Syria a heads up allowing the information to ultimately fall into the wrong hands. The CIA and DNI asked the Washington Post not to reveal the city in which this took place but you can basically assure the cover for whatever source the US developed is blown and that source probably dead or being hunted as we speak.
