51 wins to Jasper's 38 and 3 consecutive district titles, 23-1 at home the last five years with last loss coming in 2012. 30+ NCAA signees with Raelon Singleton about to be drafted in the next couple of years with Chance Casey making three starts for the Raiders in he secondary. 12 consecutive post-season appearances and only 1 first round loss the last nine years. Reached #2 in the AP poll and the last 5A in this coverage area to win the region since Dayton nearly a decade ago. Find me another 5A school in Houston that can match that besides Manvel. Your failed to do research which is why you continuously made false post on our record which is the dumb part. If the only thing you can point to are state championships and records beginning nearly a century ago you just told me we're pretty damn salty. Unlike y'all, we don't worry about the history over here because we're legit right now. I hope I didn't keep you waiting too long . . .

I don't think Dayton is going to be a playoff team this year but I think they'll have enough to beat Nederland by a couple of scores. Hard to know what Ned will be without ever seeing the new coach actually coach in a game but it doesn't look like anything really changed with Ned on the field. Nederland has a very small defensive line and if Dayton has anything up front I could see Ned struggling to contain Santee. Question with Dayton as it's been the last couple year is, "What do they get from the qb position?"
-
Nah, that's what they're going to run out there this year. So yeah . . .
-
Ah, ever since you've looked dumb with those 19-1 posts you switched up the style like you were trying to get a rise instead of just being wrong. I got you now, you're right though. It is fun.

The best show on turf was Summer Creek dude. At least if you're going to chime in be talking about the right team. Now that you don't play Silsbee I would be a lot more concerned with my own game and starting 0-1.

I don't think it'll be a blowout at all. Sterling is going to have better athletes than PNG. I think Sterling will also have an advantage at the line of scrimmage and the way Hill looked against PAM's athletes I highly doubt they keep him from getting in the endzone multiple times, even if PNG stacks the box. The only issue I see is that Sterling doesn't throw it real well so IDK how they would fare if it got to be a shootout?

I love the ancient history the SETX fans always bring up right before they play us. Y'all literally reach back to times before integration. Then we put 40 or 50 you and you realize how much all that tradition matters.

This comment right here shows you have absolutely no idea what you're talking about. Just make sure you're here Saturday morning, I'm going to have plenty more for you.

The video I'm talking about against Newton is from 3 weeks ago. I doubt they've bulked up since then. I agree with the Newton fans perspective on what they saw.
-
I agree with you 100% after watching some of the scrimmage film. I feel bad now for even dedicating this many posts trying to explain my reasoning.

Wow, I'm glad you put me on that Soulja. Lol, I don't think Crosby's kids have seen an o-line like that since the ones that got to play on JV and that's with no shade. I thought the kid was going to look like Jordan Cooper or something. I'm changing my prediction to 49-14 or 56-14. Crosby fans, I think we're ok despite having to go to the "Dawg House", lol. This is Jasper's starting QB but just take a look at the offense in total. Scroll down to the Newton scrimmage earlier this year and watch: [Hidden Content]

Man, I really do appreciate this. Your paragraph has made it to the players, in particular the qb Tulsa just contacted today you said is suspect. Riordan may have shut them down early but with the players and staff using this as motivation y'all probably just worked your way into a more serious arse whipping than what you already had coming.
-
I'm not sure Crosby ever leads a game in time of possession? We probably had the ball for a total of 15 mins last year against Vidor and scored 33 points on twenty-something offensive plays with two tds called back. All I'm going to say is that even though our last qb is at LSU now, Crosby's qb play will be significantly better this year and will raise the level offense from last season.
-
IDk who will win this one but I would be interested to see if PNG can keep Calvin Hill under 200 yards rushing now that he's the lead back? Had the sickest run I've seen so far this year against PAM in their scrimmage where dang near everybody on the team touched him and he still broke a 40 yard TD. Wish he would've came to Crosby.
-
We'll probably start with some early read option, Howard and Williams will gash them in the running game due to the way they line up, after they change we'll score 28 on screen plays alone. Japer runs the same offense Angleton does but doesn't have near the depth or talent, and the last couple times we lined up with them the score has been a combined 72-15 with the last matchup being a 34-0 shutout. It was comical watching PNG trying to stop their ground and pound before they made it to the regional final that year.

IDK, I would assume the same reason Manvel, Cy-Ranch, Westfield, Skyline, Calallen, etc. don't have one. They're hard to win, especially when you play from part of the bracket Crosby does where you get the #1 seed from the Fort Bend district or Central Texas in the second round. While FB Marshall has a smaller enrollment, just on offense alone their qb, Jabari James is committed to Texas Tech, his top receiver Henry Thomas is committed to Houston, his other receiver Korey King hasn't committed yet but has FBS offers already, one guard Barton Clement is committed to A&M, I can't remember the other lineman's name but he's got FBS offers and both rbs are going D1 also. That's 7 D1 kids on ONE side of the ball, they probably have 11 total on the roster that will eventually sign D1. That's just Marshall, don't even get me started on the talent the FB Ridge Point team we lost had with kids like Mustapha Muhammad and the three 300+ pound D1 linemen playing on side of him who were all blocking for BJ Rainford who I think ran for right at 2k that year. In '14 we lost to a very talented Cedar Park team, in '12 we lost to a loaded Manor team who eventually lost to Cedar Park in the quarters. While Crosby has their fair share of talent, a lot of years we are dwarfed talent-wise by teams from the south and southwest sides of Houston or Central Texas. I hope that was super fan/historian enough?

Don't you hear this every year? Yet we were a three point OT loss on the road without Netherly and Williams away from four consecutive 10+ win seasons. Dude said we can't play defense yet we had the best defense in the region when we won it a few years ago. Remember all that unproven stuff when the Twins and Singleton left, yeah that led to the semifinals. I mean we're literally being told we can't play defense by a team that gave up 700+ rushing yards in three games to Silsbee, HJ and Gilmer. When it's 52-21 I'll ask hm about that post and I'm sure his answer will be, "That's what Crosby was supposed to do". Hey Ag, you rember how good Marte Allison, 21-5A's leading rusher, was last year right? Yeah, he had 15 carries for 19 yards in the district championship game n all this softness. He also mentioned an anemic passing game. Write it down, Howard will be close to 300 yards before they pull him.

Crosby fans could basically drive to San Antonio in the same amount of time it takes to get there. Going to feel like riding to a playoff game.

SC was at capacity four years after they built it. The only schools in Humble ISD that aren't at capacity are Humble and Kingwood. Even Atascocita is over capacity which is why Humble ISD is getting another high school to relieve them. KP wasn't an option during the vote to house Kingwood, the point is that the UIL is allowing kids effected by the storm to transfer for athletic purposes. I'm sure there will be athletes that live blocks south of Northpark dr that are zoned to Kingwood and will want to go to KP to play football or baseball instead of having to get bused all the way inside the beltway to SC. IDK how the UIL will look at this specific situation since the entire school will be housed elsewhere but I think since they're in the same district the UIL wouldn't mind being the two schools are only three miles apart vs almost thirteen miles to SC and would probably take 45mins to an hour to get down W Lake Houston in the morning.

What highlight film did you watch? The #8 all-purpose back in the country committed to Baylor that runs 4.36 and finished 3rd at state in the 100m? - [Hidden Content] The receiver that's going to put up 1,000+ and already getting FBS offers, basically uncheckable? - [Hidden Content] Maybe it was the 6-3 southpaw under center who will also play qb at the FBS level? - [Hidden Content] I might be a homer but that's a tough sell when people in the NCAA that do it for a living agree with me.

I guess the Newton guy had a different opinion of the scrimmage looking at his comment? The silver lining I see for Crosby in this game is that Jasper runs the antiquated wing-T which we would normally never see unless we lined up with Angleton or Calallen, even though Angleton runs it with 5-stars like BJ Foster while Calallen has Danaher. I like the fact we get to work on run fits to start the season but I don't like the fact we won't get any real work against the pass and we have to line up with BH to open district play who is going to air it out. I think Crosby's win in this game would be to hold Jasper to 250 total yards or less, even though y'all are a couple of divisions below us I think that would be an accomplishment for the Cougars and something to build on moving forward into district play.

Summer Creek will house Kingwood and they will split time at school. IDK how that's going to sit with some of the Kingwood faithful having to send their kid to what's considered the "hood" school in the district along with Humble. I would imagine all the people between Kingwood dr and Northpark dr will push hard for the kids to go to the closer Kingwood Park. Very interested to see what KP might do on the football field with a potential 6A enrollment playing in 21-5A?
-
Eaten many such opponents like who? The last 5A team Jasper beat that actually won more than two games that season was 5-7 Worthing out of HISD in a year Jasper was 2-8 themselves in 2010. Every other time they've played a 5A school in that span they've given up at least 41 points with Lumberton being the most when they dropped 56. It's not about stooping to some level, its football talk. You give your reasons for your thoughts and I give mine, that's what the board is for. Not to sit around every week and say, "It's going to be a great game" just because there's going to be one played.

Neither does the band . . .

IDK, I guess I'm just not seeing it? How do you give up 500+ yards and 50 points to a spread team, not see your team play a game this year and know the dbs improved in coverage and the DC will have a good scheme? Doesn't seem like covering the spread is the defense's only issue though. Seems like every team Jasper played that was decent at the line of scrimmage last year rammed down their throat.
