QB should be the big kid who suffered the knee injury and miss all of last season. Sr with a cannon for an arm. Should have a big year. LCM has the potential to win their district and go deep in playoffs if they stay healthy.

Also, I think one of the biggest problems for LC-M, or whoever makes the playoffs, is the district they'd have to play in the first round (Carthage, Kilgore, Tyler Chapel Hill, etc.)

Lumberton will have more depth, but H-F will have the best athlete on the field. I think it will be a competitive game.

West Brook's WRs with Keith Corbin and Isaac Aubrey, who I heard moved to that position full-time. And I hear that Cameron McKinney will be solid in the slot for them.

Also several from Lumberton have gone the last couple of years. This camp isn't new and it isn't an invite only camp.
How many of them went to the camp this year? Nobody said it was an invite only or new. Thank you for the heads up though.

The Beaumont Enterprise!!! Do they know how many kids simply sign up to go to camps including the Manning Camp each each year? A total non-story.

So many choices:
-The week 3 Silsbee players were suspended, Patrick Reed passed for 178 yards, ran for 235 and scored 6 TDs against Orangefield
-Newton's Brandon Johnson ran for 294 yards and 3 TDs on 15 carries and the Eagles beat East Chambers. A lot of that production came after Kevin Shorter got hurt.
-WO-S's Dillon Sterling-Cole, 384 yards and 6 TDs passing in the Bidistrict round win over Huffman Hargrave
-Jeremiah Rose's performance against Ozen wasn't the best of the season, but it was really impressive I thought

Rodney Randle tweeted out that he received his first offer on Saturday, from Lamar. They offered him as a DB.

Chase impressed me at QB in the Carthage game. If he can keep improving throughout the season, combined with what should be a great defense, WO-S should still be elite in 4A DII.

I haven't even been in SETX that long and I still never thought I'd see the day that WO-S got new unis. That's cool though, can't wait to see them in person.

Yeah, no hate for Kountze, sorry to burst your bubble. Just didn't know they were also in the qualifying for it. Also, the article was published a few days before Kountze qualified.
Congrats to the Lions. There will be a story in the paper later on this week.

Great point! A lot of that is perpetuated by the media. Like setting dates for making a verbal commitment when kid has already committed.
Except for when the kid opened up his recruitment and decided to set a date himself. Media didn't do any of that.

Saw the matte navy HJ helmets. The Jasper jerseys are old, from at least the 2011 season. They usually mix old and new uniforms throughout the year. Matte is really catching on in SETX. Wonder when chrome will? HS is usually a couple years after college trends.
Yeah I saw some pictures on Google with the Jasper Adidas jerseys, they just looked new to me lol.
As far as the chrome goes, I know one school where that's a very strong possibility for the upcoming season.

3-4A D1 is the toughest 4A D1 district in the state IMO.
That is tough. 9-4A DI is no joke either

I was out at the VYPE photoshoot today and I caught a few new helmet/uniform nuggets:
-Hardin-Jefferson had some matte navy blue helmets. Not sure if they will get new unis but I've heard that they may.
-PN-G players told me that they're going to get new facemasks that are purple with white in the middle.
-I heard that Nederland might be getting new unis from some players just talking. Don't know how true it is though.
-Jasper's player had on a maroon Adidas jersey. Last year I know they had the Russell Athletic ones

I know Mike Jacquet tweeted that he would make his commitment on July 21, maybe Locke will do it around then too
