After the smoke has cleared from the 20-4A race, I am not disappointed with my pirates.  I think our coach did well with the team we had.  I wish we could have pulled out a couple more wins and been in the race for that last spot, but just did not happen this year.  I think going in if you would have said we would finish one spot back of nederland we would have taken it.  Just would not have dreamed at that point that the bulldogs would be finishing fourth.

I heard that we tried. But there is some kind of rule that everyone in the district has to agree. Not sure if this is true or not , maybe one of you uil experts could help on that.

Anyone have the schedule for today? I would like to catch a game today.

I always catch heat from the vidor folk for saying this, but Jeff Matthews does more woth less less that the others in 20-4A every year.

He is however first team all district smack talker.

Anybody got any more info on this game? I know Smith struck out 15.  How many hits did he give up? How many Bears did Townsend strike out? How many hits did the bears have?

Anyone know where I could find the bracket for Vidor's tournament this weekend. Would sure like to see some games around work.

I thought our catcher graduated? I thought Keri Hester (DH) was the only Hester we had back? Either way, we sure have plenty of returning experience. Should be a great year for the pirates.

How many playoff rounds did Nederland win last year?  That was one heck of a team they had.  Might be one of the best teams I had seen in this area in a long while.

I just can't believe we are looking at fourth place and having to face the district champion from 19. This is not a good way to get the playoffs started. I was expecting to play the 2nd or even 3rd seed and have a much easier time getting our first playoff series win, getting on a role and making a run. Now that is in jepordy.
