  1. Monday by DEC (for the second time) and yesterday by UIL. I guess it got deleted because I commented about someone's "sources." But whatever! Good luck to the Jags tonight.
  2. That is a very young team that is prime to be molded by a great (and legendary) coach. I had no doubt seeing them early in the year that they would be fine (even when they were struggling). And look out in a couple of years, especially if one or two catch a good growth spurt. Impressive win tonight for the Bucs.
  3. Deleting informative posts now but not ones based on inaccurate conjecture? Got it!
  4. Good article. \m/ hook em
  5. Some just get more ornery in their old age. Silver-haired fox and REBgp come to mind. Doves just get more senile...
  6. Haven't been on this board in awhile but good to see things are the same. Mack's obsession with the Horns continues. Couple of things, I understand aggy isn't very familiar with high caliber football but the OC for a coach like Herman is irrelevant. Does it matter who Kliff's OC is? Of course not. But when you have a head coach who sucks on both sides of the ball, coordinators are especially important. Secondly, if history has taught you anything, recruiting rankings mean nothing until signing day (and sometimes after). I know, I know, you have to go back a whole 11 months to illustrate that point. And you may in fact get a blip this year in transition, but you will soon be getting our culls again. Like you when you got outrecruited by a losing coach who wasn't a particularly talented recruiter. Why? Visit the two towns and schools and you will find the answer.
  7. Indeed Edit: and Clay's job is doubly hard trying to compensate for the silver-haired fox antagonizing the officials from the stands...
  8. On the game, I've seen both teams this year and I didn't expect this one to be particularly close. I gotta stop underestimating WB. Nederland may have the Wizard at the helm but the Bruins have the Warlock!
  9. And if this basketball thing doesn't work out, he has a heck of a career ahead of him in publishing...
  10. OF 57 Anahuac 50 F After sleep walking through 3 quarters, Bobcats outscore Panthers 27-18 in 4th to take the W. Payton Lathrop led the way with 14 pts. Aven Lathrop 11 pts (7-8 FTs), 4 rebs, 3 assists, 3 steals. Dylan Williams 11 pts and 6 rebounds. Alex Catt 6 pts, 14 rebs and 3 assists.
  11. They did beat Huffman who is ranked...
  12. Whether or not they are better or worse than the bigger teams matters not. The mere fact they made the USA Today Top 25 is a HUGE honor. I wonder when the last time a school from their classification made this list? I'll bet if there was, it would be a 3A school because it was before the reclassifications. Anyway, I know it's not the goal of those boys but still quite an honor in my opinion!
  13. Pasadena 65 CS 56 F
  14. What time is championship game?
  15. "Chain Gang." And show em this one too. Yeah, I'm sure Navarro still thinks it would be a mistake for WOS to think they would be more physical...
  16. AND there is a world famous Hamburger Depot across from the stadium as well as what I will claim is some of the best Cuban food in Texas just down the street. I think this needs to get done!
  17. I highly he had anything to say David. I'll bet he's been "speechless" since about the second quarter!
  18. Come on td! They can come watch the game from the stands. Only about a 2 hour drive!!
  19. Anyone predicting a close game with a team that runs the slot T hasn't seen enough of this defense and doesn't know Cornel Thompson! Not gonna happen.
  20. One more step boys! We in SETX are all pulling for you!! (I was at a Christmas Party tonight and we had someone providing regular updates. You are truly the pride of the OC!)
  21. Look, I was with you guys on the Wagner thing. Thought it was dumb to put arguably the two best teams in the tournament against each other in the first round (akin to having Duke and Kentucky play first in March Madness). But FBISD gave Silsbee a road map to go deep in this one. All you had to do was beat Eisenhower. Not only that, if you had beaten a team that was clearly very beatable, they had probably the two best teams in the tournament in the opposite side of the bracket (Bush and Sam Houston, who ironically played in the first round of bracket play). A game was lost that should have been won, regardless of rest. Again, a deep team of teenagers should be able to play two games with an hour and a half in between with no issues. They aren't old out of shape old men like us. I can promise you many from this bunch has played more physically demanding schedules than this in the past.
