This is and should always be a K.I.S.S. situation. No disrespect to Nederland or their defense but put the ball in RJ’s hands and let him make plays. He’s a man among boys in this matchup. As he would be against most teams.

LSU wins 97-91 over UNC-Greensboro. Reid finishes with 31 & 7 on 12-16 shooting (4-7 from 3, 3-3 from the line). Smart had 13 without missing a shot (8-8 from the line).

Texas wins 73-71 in OT. Huge game winning floater from freshman Courtney Ramey. Weird watching kids you’ve seen since jr high. His dad had a team called Team Ramey out of St Louis that was one of the best JH teams in the country. Final 4 team both years I think; might have lost to Naz Reid’s one of those (or Marvin Bagley’s). Anyway, it was found out Ramey had a few 16 yo’s playing for him. Made sense how they had 6-2 rim rockers lol. Never heard from them in HS.

Roach hits a 3 to force OT. I love CBB. Even when it’s an early, poorly played game, manages to be exciting.

Dear Lord, Naz Reid has 25 & 5 on 9-11 shooting with 12 minutes left in game for LSU. Been watching that kid since Jr High. Was like 6-9 in the 8th grade. Never got much taller but sure filled out. Javonte Smart has 11 pts without missing a shot or FT. Tiger fans are going to have fun watching their freshman class this year.

Texas looks pretty bad. At some point, shaka may want to throw a shooter into a recruiting class....
-
Saw my guy Savion Flagg had 24 & 16 in the Ags opener against Savannah St. They are going to need some consistency from him to have any kind of success this season.

You know they didn’t have much else when they weren’t THAT good with him. Kind of like Alvin when they had Flagg, except Grimes is a one-and-done lottery pick. -

Greatness. -
You raised a fine young man. He has an amazing story and truly embodies the “student-athlete.” I will be rooting for him throughout his career, which will extend well beyond Lubbock in my opinion. And by the way, I have a son at Tech as well. He’s a freshman and called me after the U of H game and told me, “Dad we actually have a beast on defense!” I said, let me guess, Dakota Allen?

EC’s district for sure. There is another team in that district that will have the most highly recruited player in the district and picked up maybe the best shooter in the district via transfer/move in. -

That’s how the TABC had them I am guessing. I would be willing to bet those two teams won’t both be in the top 3 of that district. -

Don’t disagree but I was speaking in general terms about a state that can’t get its you know what together and continually butchers the electoral process. -

Better than you would think if you see his form (Probably around 60 percent.) And you’re dead on. A collegiate strength and conditioning coach/dietician is going to do him wonders. The kid works his tail off. -
“Prettiest pig in the pen?” See that can be a BDF joke or an aggy joke.

I specifically thought of you with that first sentence of my post because that is one of the areas where we agree strongly. But what do you do here? -

And Lampkin’s MR teammate LJ Cryer may be the highest rated player in the state in that class. If he’s not, he’s close. The Mark/Cryer matchup is probably the most intriguing in that slate of games. Although the Memorial/Concordia game appeals most to me personally. -
Oh gotcha. I read something about him playing with a broken hand. It was an article about whether he should sit out the rest of the season. I’ve seen a few tech games this year and he’s easily their best defensive player, if not best player period. He does look to have NFL talent. Article had an interesting discussion about what risks players in his situation should take when they are banged up like he is.

We agree completely here. That’s why I wanted to be clear who I was speaking of. Just the average American, and I don’t even know what the median income is in this country anymore. But I’m certain it’s a heckuva lot lower than 250k. -
Has a hand injury but they are pretty tight-lipped about injuries in college. I don’t think it’s publicly known if he will play or not (unless something’s been released I haven’t seen). Hope he’s careful with it. That kid’s a pro imo.
