  1. Personally, 10 is too deep. A regular rotation of 8 is perfect for me, I know a lot of coaches that want 7. If you go 10 deep, they better all be similar skills wise (and that is almost never the case for a HS team) and you better have kids that are content with playing half a game.
  2. Bru’s situation is interesting but not new or unique. But if you commit to a school based upon a coach and haven’t even played a down, then the coach abruptly leaves, it’s always seemed fair to me to allow a kid to transfer without penalty. The Martell’s who don’t want to compete for a job are one thing. A kid who makes a life choice based upon the opportunity to learn from a particular coach who leaves before he even gets started is quite another.
  3. I’m better liked there for sure Haven’t posted there or even visited in about a year. Only one kid left playing there and the whole site lost its luster when the rivalries board died when aggy tucked tail and ran. But I like Looch and the site was one of the standard bearers for the fan message boards. I also miss my guy Jorts though. First class poster and a darn fine lawyer. But you’re right @Whoopi Goldberg's Lips I did notice Mack recycling a lot of their material on this site...
  4. I’ve also seen them a couple of times, once early in the season and once not long ago against a team with one of the better coaches in this area. I was equally impressed with their coaching in both games (one was a win, the latter a loss). Lumberton finishing the first half of district ahead of anyone not named Silsbee or HJ should exceed or at the very least meet any reasonable person’s expectations. In other words, with the talent available, they performed at their ceiling. Tough gig when fans aren’t satisfied with a coach getting the very best out of his team...

  7. EC 74 OF 39 End 3 Bucs are dominating every facet of the game.
  8. 17 first half turnovers for Orangefield.
  9. EC 52 OF 31 H And the turnover parade has begun. Runnin Bucs were runnin in that quarter.
  10. OF 22 EC 22 End 1 Buccaneers go on a 4-0 run in the last 40 seconds while Bobcat starters get a breather.
  11. I read today that the last time Brady’s Patriots played the Rams in the Super Bowl, Rams HC Sean McVay was playing QB. In high school....
  12. AAW sets them himself. He’s a bit of a savant in handicapping high school sports. Seriously.
  13. Brady is about to party it up tonight. I bet he has at least 2 kale smoothies.
  14. Goats gonna goat. 41 yo and he’s out there throwing darts in 18 degrees those last two drives.
  15. Good news is he does a lot of conservation of energy at the other end of the court
  16. Attention aggy: Borrow more money in 2019 - you can make the list again....
  17. You guys had me doubting my info for a second. It’s official now. [Hidden Content]
  18. The odds of them getting another coach the quality of Cornel or Dan Ray are pretty long. It’s not like the pay at WOS is attractive for outsiders. I could be wrong but I highly doubt it. And to be honest, there aren’t many coaches out there period that are on the level of CT.
  19. Maybe the best example you’ve given. If you look at Celina AND Pilot Point during those periods, there is a direct correlation of the success of those two schools based upon at which G.A. was coaching. The answer, of course, is a bit of both. Those who think it’s all players are naive and those who think it’s all coaching are misguided. But like players, all coaches are not created equal. I have a sneaking suspicion some WOS fans will come to realize this when Cornel retires.
  20. They won the game by a final of 122-45. Dang near 80 pts. If McCain, Bush, Adams, or any of the starters got hurt in a game where they were on the floor with a 70 pt lead, people would be calling for the coach’s head. This might be the silliest argument I’ve ever participated in.
  21. All 12 scored and Bobcats move to 22-6.
