My apologies AAW, never meant to get that far...But Yates are a legit team. I was applauded that they blew washington out by that much this past saturday.

It doesn't matter. Silsbee would not be able to beat Yates. I doubt that they could hang very long with them. Yates is playing a different ball game than Silsbee.

Someone tell me the accurate information on Devin Bray. Did he play for Kountze in his freshman year on varsity and then moved to California to get more exposure during his sophomore and junior year? And then he came back to Kountze to play for his senior year? So all in all he missed his sophomore and junior year in kountze to play in California?

We never thank you enough for all the effort you put into broadcasting the high school basketball in this area and tournaments also. And having to drive back and forth from town to town/city to city. Keeping us posted with the scores and in the end you don't mind putting up the stats from games you broadcast. Once again thank you for all your hard work.

No one in the NATION can play with these boys. Being alived for 18 years, I have to say this by far is the best high school team I seen playing the game of basketball.

I seen both games and I was very impressed with the Butler vs. Winter Park game. Yates were no surprise but I know that wasn't thier best game at all. I believe that Butler will give Yates a good game. Winter Park relied on two good players out of Rivers (Boston Celtic head coach son) and number 23. Butler was able to shut Rivers down to only 12 points I believe. Yates has more key players for a high school team I ever seen. Butler will have to play more man to man than double team like tonight that they have done. Yates pressed throughout the whole game and I still can't understand why press when there's only two min left and your team up by 20 points.

Central-has there up's and down's but too athletic of a team to win this game

It has been a minute since I posted something on SETX but I would like to say that I wil most likely be in attendance for the Silsbee-Jasper game since it is christmas break from my college. I will be seeing how the tigers are without the outside shooters and leadership they had the past few season. I hear great things from them this year and I expect to see it in action this friday. I will be getting in touch with you at the game AAW.

If the Hardin allstars consisted of players from Silsbee-Kountze-Lumberton-Buna and the Jefferson all stars consisted of players from HJ-etc...I would bet my money that Hardin county would win.

Can you post some stats and tell me what Eisenhower is like?

I get it now. I would like to see this. This would be like any teams that plays a warmup game before the playoff. In addition, we will have a little classic of teams playing each other just one game apiece in one gymnasium. I like this a lot.

This would have to be for next season 2010-2011?! I think it would be a great idea but I would put up to 16 teams in this tourney so that can gain more experience and learn a lot more from teams that they may have to meet up with in the future (playoff).

I have been gone for a minute but doesn't mean I haven't been keeping up with my SETX high school basketball forums. I haven't seen any of the three teams play this season but from the prior season and from personal relationship that I know with each coach and some of the players on each teams. I have to say each team are equal in thier own ways against each other. HJ has beat Ktz, Ktz has beat Silsbee, and Silsbee vs HJ has yet to be played. It has been a known fact that any teams can be beat on given night, each team can hold their own against one another. That's why the game is been played. Overall, I believe Silsbee has to be most talented team around but it takes more than just talent to play the game. That's where the coaching staff comes in. They do have one of the biggest, fastest team in the area also. You can never count out the Hawks ever, coach sutherland always find a way to get the best out of all his players. Many doubt every year that they will do anything and yet they mostly go further than most would expected that season. Ktz, I don't know what to say about them, they have a great team this year, I really believe they will go to state once again and hopefully win it all. HJ will have trouble once come playoff (3 round the furthest). But I wish them the best, not against my Tigers though  ;). Silsbee have the skills, talent, size, quickness, and speed to really get something done this year. I can not see them not making to state from region 3. One team does stand in the way that could match up with them (Cleveland) but I know that the Tigers know what to do to get the job done though.

I would definitely pay to see this matchup...I think we will be able to see this matchup in the Big Sandy tournament. I really believe the small school team can beat the big school team in this area. example...Kountze posiibly able to beat Ozen. I believe they can.

It a possibility they will head back to Austin this season but they have to get by New Waverly who is the team that went to austin 2 years straight from Region 3
