  1. It has been a while since I have posted anything on here but I will definitely be at the doubleheader this Friday since my mother stays in Baytown. AAW and Lazeek, I'm looking forward to seeing you both again. I have a friend that from Brookshire that told me this game will be a tough one for Brookshire Royal also. Hope to meet BadSanta also...I'm a Silsbee alumni just so you know BS lol....
  2. Is PA-M struggling because they need their football players back to play basketball or have they been missing other players that are not playing this season or they just inexperience this year. They did go to the final of the Silsbee Summer Tournament. Ever since Coach William took over PA-M, I had my thought that PA-M were going to be a team they many would not want to compete because they could not hang with them. What is the deal?
  3. I seen Silsbee play and read what it been said on this site. Silsbee by far is the best team in the district regardless of what anyone says. To throw 6 interception and lose 6-0 is saying that the defense kept it close and the opponent team is not as great as everyone make them out to be. I can promise you this, if Silsbee had thrown no interception and played a much better game. Silsbee could have easily won by the score of 28-6 in my opinion. Silsbee just didn't execute their game plan. And made some costly mistake. Now that game is over and we all need to move on to the next. I pray Silsbee play a much better game against HJ and learn from their mistake.

  5. I am a former student part of Silsbee High School basketball organization. I spent three years in the basketball organization. Each year I had an afro when basketball season started. I was very frustrated each year he told me to get a haircut (meaning a fade), no hair whatsoever and I do so otherwise. Now it been a couple of years since I graduated and I really respect what he doing. In the long run it does teaches respect and discipline. Like it was stated, Coach William can not tell a player to get a haircut but he can tell him who can play on his team. Being a college student he did teach me about my appearance being recognize and how that appearance goes a long way when it comes to job interview, etc. Kids will still be kids but I wish the policy stayed in high school because the jr. high kids would feel discouraged to play and where would the program go if the jr. high students are not participating anymore when they get in high school. The program could falter, that my only problem with the policy. I do not want to see tradition dying because students in jr. high doesn't like the policy.
  6. I have to agree with AAW...I'm still a big fan of my Tigers and will support then thoroughly. But I just do not see them really being able to handle Clevelands this year. They have a great player in Stallworth and Lane but the rest of the team is fairly young in experience (even though they bring 10 players back from previous playoff team). I will say they have the twins who will put up some shot beyond the arcs and the point guard that was a freshman last year. They also have Harris but the rest of the players are still young including the point guard. This year will be one those years where we don't se as many talents asthe past had. But Silsbee are standing strong with balancing the talents they has for the past few seasons. Cleveland is not going to allow the same thing to happen to the three years in a row. This will be they breaking point.
