  1. Several teams are now locked in, but others still up in the air, with final regular season game left.

Here is what I understand for Districts 21 and 22:

    District 21-5A:

Locks:   Barbers Hill (17-0), Dayton (15-2), Kingwood Park (13-4) all locked into top 3 seeds

In the Hunt for 4th spot:  New Caney (9-8), Humble (8-8), Porter (8-8), Crosby (8-8)

    - no word on Friday night games between Humble/Porter and Crosby/Splendora

    - on Tuesday, New Caney vs Porter, Humble vs Crosby

    District 22-5A:

Locks:   Ozen (13-0) for #1 seed

Near Lock:  Lumberton (10-3) - must beat Vidor to clinch #2 seed

Battle for 3rd and 4th seeds:  Central and Livingston tied at 9-4

    - Tuesday games:   Ozen vs Livingston, Central vs PNG

Lower half of Region 3 impacting District 21/22:

Ozen (22-6) vs District 21-5A #4 seed (New Caney, Porter, Humble or Crosby)

Houston Northside vs Galveston Ball (22-7)

    -----------------------------------------------------------------------------

Still some things to sort out on Tuesday, and still may even have a play-in game next weekend to settle any ties, but interesting to see how things appear to be shaping up...

  2. New Caney 57-54.    NC moves into sole possession of 4th place at 9-6 district record with 3 games left to play.     Humble is at 8-7, and I think Crosby and Porter are 7-8.

    Remaining opponents:

    NC:   Dayton, Barbers Hill, Porter

    Humble: Barbers Hill, Porter, Crosby

    Porter:  Splendora, Humble, New Caney

    Crosby:  Lee, Splendora, Humble

  3. District records and overall if known, with 5 regular season games remaining:

    1)  Barbers Hill  13-0, 23-5

    2)  Dayton 11-2, 23-3

    3)  Kingwood Park  10-3,  13-10

    4)  Humble  8-5,  8-12?

    5)  New Caney  7-6, 14-12

    6)  Crosby  6-7, 11-12

    7)  Porter  5-8, 9-13

    8)  Splendora  3-10, 7-17

    9)  Baytown Lee  2-11, 5-14

    10) Caney Creek  0-13, 1-22

KP has 3 of 5 remaining games against the bottom 3, so they look pretty solid in the #3 spot.

The #4 spot is wide open with Humble, New Caney, Crosby and Porter all in contention --- but Crosby is a team to watch and after starting 0-5 in district, they are in a roll --- toughest remaining game for them is Tuesday vs Kingwood Park.
