In the 4A Bracket, 7 4th place teams beat District Champions from other districts.  Just an observation.

The bottom line is their coach did what he thought was best for his team.  Even in hindsight I believe he did what was best for his team.  They were one swing of the bat away from the lead in the fifth.  I respect their coaches courage for making the decision he did.  I think it was the decision that gave his team the best chance to advance with prom and pitching staff to go three games. (which I also beleive would have happened)  It just did not work out.  That game could have gone either way.  We have all been on the other side of these type games before.  In the end there should be nothing but respect for the 2011 Lee Ganders and their coach. 

However tall he is, that guy can pitch.

I gather from what little we have been told and your quote above that your group is deciding between two scenarios.  You have any details?

Smith pitched Friday against Vidor.  I doubt he will throw in back to back district games.  Some teams have done that though.  We will have to see tomorrow.

I had not heard nor read that anyone thought that Zach would struggle with 4A pitching.  I think he was hitting over .400 before getting his new contacts.  I think it effected him more on defense.

LCM will sign 4.  KSmith won't be undecided much longer.

Three LCM pitchers throw combined no hit shut out.

Bears sent 17 different hitters to the plate.

Is Zoch (BC) still on pace to hit around .800  :) :)

Townsend gave up six runs on 8 hits and struck out 3 in six innings

Smith gave up three runs on 4 hits and struck out 15 in seven innings

The kid might be one of the best 3 in the state. Saw them play kingwood park before us at Porter and there was no where to stand behind homeplate to watch the game because of all the scouts.

However, He did not get the save against us. Not sure who did, but he started that game. Pitched one inning and left the game. Crosby will be a very dangerous team come playoff time.

I was told that playing each school in the same week (tues/fri) was presented to our 4A coaches for a vote and turned down.

That would be 21 district games for 20-4A 

The rules allow 17 and 3 tournaments, or 19 and 2 tournaments, or 21 and one tournament

So 20-4A would play 21 district games one tournament?

Bad idea! 

21 dist games and four in a tournament that is held the week before district so you probably want only 3.  24 games total.

As opposed to 14 district games and the other 3 allowed equals 17.  and three tournaments of four or five games totaling 14 is total of 31 games.

24 games to prepare for playoffs or 31 games to prepare for post season play.

I think his stats must have an astrisk next to them beacause he has obviously been on the juice. ;D

Utguy09 is and always has been Mr. Second guesser.  Only those who are kinfolks of his are competent.  Getting old for us real fans.

There will be no verdict.  Allegation of illegal transfer was bogus.  LCM has it's ducks in a row.  Top (tip top) school officials made visit to player's residence today.  Made all proper documentation and double checked all legalities.

This message to sidelinefan55, aka UIL rules expert, aka person that has ax to grind regarding THIS particular move.

Quote me the section and article number on this scenario.

When parents split, does the rulebook have a section that says the player must stay at his previous school with the step mom or will the rules allow him to move to new residence with his biological father. Mother lives in Beaumont I believe over near Lumberton.

Order not finalized.  But the four teams have been.

Really not much to it. They slid in. The ball was on the ground. We tried to get to ball. Were tangled up with runner. Runner pushed us and we pushed him back and they threw both out.

I think png and lcm have about 24 or 25 playoff wins in the last ten years if I am counting correctly.
