I think he will do well at SMU. Just needs to put a little weight on.

A bit sloppy a game over all to be honest. Very glad SC decided move to a spread offense.

Page is legit. I'm hoping we can get in his face a bit and slow them down, but with their O-Line I'm not sure how possible that is.

We don't travel too well unfortunately, so parking shouldn't be too much an issue. I have noticed what MBG was saying though, there were some rowdy fans last week on our side.

Key to the game for Central against SC: Run the ball between the tackles. Seriously that's all.
Keys to the game for SC against Central: Score in the Redzone/Goalline, get TE Holcombe involved (has been a non factor in first 2 games), and get off the field on 3rd down defensively.

HUM398, I agree with that assessment. I wouldn't use the word "Uninspiring" but the OL certainly is nothing to brag about talent wise. I'm guessing you saw the game against Pasadena Memorial, so you probably noticed that they were surprisingly small and slow. However, I would say the SC OL executed their assignments very well in that game, I don't think they would have been that successful on athletic prowess alone. Fast forward one week, Dickinson is larger and a bit faster, however I don't believe it was so much so that SC's OL was outmatched. So while I do acknowledge that Dickinson's front 7 is harder to deal with than memorial, they should have had much more success had they not made so many mistakes compared to last week. I mean it wasn't like Chatman was getting hit in the backfield on every play or anything, he had a handful of successful runs. However the very next play we have a false start and the drive stalls. With this more run heavy offense this year they are going to have to fix that or else they won't win another game. -

Waitwaitwait forgot one thing. Special teams. Night and day difference from last week, simply unacceptable. Castellanos was bombing them away, punts and kickoffs, last week. Reverted to last year quality this week, and coverage team did not make matters any better with missed tackles. Alright I'm done. -

I thought the O-Line did... Ok in pass protection. I have to give props to Dickinson's secondary, they played very tight (I don't even think Sharp would have had too much success, much less Bean). The biggest gripe I have was the numerous false starts that just killed any momentum we built on several drives. As for the defense, we have a glaring problem with pass defense. I mean GLARING. Our DB's have little to no trouble pursuing a ball carrier coming out of the backfield and make the open field tackle but as soon as they see that ball go through the air its like they forget how to pursue. Pass rushers aren't helping them out either though. Setting those things aside, had they played this game more like last week (as in, actually executed), they probably would have won by a score or two. That pretty much does it for my rant. -

Can we put the whole "Second round SC" thing to rest already, geez. Doesn't hurt any less now than then. -

Here is one Summer Creek fan. 16-6A looks to be a pretty competitive district. I don't see SC dominating right out of the gates (especially against The Woodlands) but they should survive. Maybe a 5th place finish in 2014, hopefully playoffs in 2015. -
