WE HAVE BEEN GIVEN A GIFT, LET'S NOT MESS THIS UP!!!
Boneyard Boys replied to WOSgrad's topic in High School Football
Well there is the solution then, high schoolers can opt out too. They don’t have to play high school football but they are there because they want to be. Same goes for the coaches, officials and fans, nobody is forced to be at a high school football game. Yet still people on the outside completely uninvested in these football programs say shut everything down. -

You guys are so negative, you want it to be over before it starts. I can’t believe so many people truly want there to be no football season or school year. We are supposed to be all in to play a full football schedule, including playoffs. If a player tests positive they sit out for 10 days and most likely come back just fine. If a team has an outbreak maybe they forfeit a game or two and the rest of the teams play on, like baseball is doing. Why is it so hard to follow a model like that? I’d be more concerned about the coaches, officials and fans, hopefully we don’t see any problems there but the kids will be fine. They are young, in good shape and have yet to develop any underlying health conditions like the rest of us old worry warts. -
We have to replace the starting backfield from last year so we will be relying on some young guys. We will have a Senior who is a road grader, takes multiple defenders to bring him down and does great work up the middle. Don't know much from there, not sure if we have a pure speed guy but we got some of them physical speed guys.

10-4 Maybe we could play a Louisiana school? Or would that be frowned upon in this day and age?
-
ahh man... looks like were going to get left out in the cold. Why couldn't we play St. Pius X, aren't they a private school?
-
I take it Vidor still hasn't found anyone for week 2? Bring on the perennial powerhouse just north of town, the mighty Evadale Rebels!
-
Oh man... Vidor is going to surprise some people when they beat Silsbee and Jasper this year.
-
Can’t say I agree with that either. If someone who doesn’t want to be there and otherwise would have chose home schooling gets sick the whole thing is going to blow up badly. At least with our situation we have weighed the risk vs reward and decided to go all in on the Senior season but if something bad happens it’s on us, our choice.

BREAKING: UIL ANNOUNCES FALL SPORTS SCHEDULE
Boneyard Boys replied to WOSgrad's topic in High School Football
He’s not so bad on the sidelines, problem is you just can’t keep him off the field lol. -
Uh oh... trouble in paradise.
-
AND WHITE INDIANS... 🤨 What’s that all about?
-
Looks pretty tough Mack but I know that group of boys over there, who are now Seniors have always been successful.
-
Boom! We play em at Jerry World, problem solved.

BREAKING: UIL ANNOUNCES FALL SPORTS SCHEDULE

Surely the L-Train had their way with the Rebels? That just wouldn’t be fair, maybe we just take 2 bye weeks this season. -
Vidor wins this one and hangs 30 on Covid-19.
-
Groundbreaking, a little something called a 5 yard slant route. Baby-steps...
-
It's on, I still say Vidor wins it. With preseason games against Silsbee and Jasper for both Vidor and now Lumberton due to schedule changes. We will get a good chance to see how these teams compete against some good 4A-D2 programs.

Lumberton stepping up, adding Silsbee and Jasper. Vidor also plays both, could be a good preseason measure of where 10-4A-D1 is at competitively.
