Idk who the WOS Jv QB is #19 is but he’s up and down the field in a hurry. Throws it for a long TD one way and runs it for a long TD going back the other.

The new field looks good in West Orange. I got a laugh at the WOS head coach yelling at the chain gang on the sideline to drop the down markers and move out of the way when a big hit went flying into them. You’re tearing up my field!

Heck yea, we got a Super Walmart, Mobil Credit Union and another Subway to show off this time. Throw em up! ✌️✌️

Just trolling for a reaction, they might not do it this year I have noticed it in the past though. Hopefully it’s a good physical scrimmage, nobody comes out injured and both teams go on to do great things in 4A this season.

It’s going to be a good one but be looking for the WOS QB wearing that red don’t hit me jersey and the Vidor QB not wearing it.

The intrasquad scrimmage is today and they are playing right now. Sorry I thought it was tomorrow for some reason, my apologies.

Vidor has an intrasquad scrimmage this weekend, I’m sure it will be thrilling.

I heard it has a very negative effect on the sense of taste and smell. So West Orange players don’t have a problem playing for LCM this year.

Yes I remember watching that game, you guys weren’t very welcoming hosts in PA. No handshake before the game, turned a cold shoulder and kicked our butts on the field. Not very nice Mr. Buddy, it’s almost as if those boys were mad about something that happened the previous year.

Man that team was good and the field looks awesome. Kinda makes me miss the old grass field and the bad ass paint schemes they would lay down every year. Talk about a butt kicking, PAM was able to make a game of it though.

I hope the WOS supporters on here watch our scrimmage, you might be pleasantly surprised with our QB this year. The kid is a pretty good athlete, he fits into the offense really well. Can run tough and throw it a little bit. Plus he knows the offense, was the Junior High and Freshman QB. He finished the year as the varsity starter his Sophomore year before moving away as a Junior.

Because we can’t run our offense without the QB running the ball or at least being a threat to run on every play lol. We can’t and don’t try to throw the ball like West Orange tends to do in the scrimmages. Not that our QB can’t do it but I tend to think that we don’t necessarily turn out the same type of high level receivers that other schools do.

WOS has to play the Pirates in back to back weeks to start the season. Vidor then La Vega, too bad ours is a scrimmage. Their QB will be wearing the red jersey but ours won’t!

I know right... La Vega would be in BIG trouble. 💪😉✌️

I wish nothing but good things for the Deweyville Pirates this year and I fully expect the Vidor Pirates to win their first outright DC since the ‘70s I believe. (We were co-district champs a few years ago in a three way tie.) We have 6 returning starters on offense and 6 returning starters on defense, all Seniors who can play ball. I have been hearing great things about the underclassmen who are stepping up to fill holes. If we get good play from the new players at the Linebacker and Running Back positions then watch out, we might make some noise in the playoffs. Correction: 1 returning starter on offense OL and 1 returning starter on defense DL will be Juniors but they are both big ole studs.

So if the season starts and games are played for some schools as I expect our local schools to be among the first to start. Is that it, no going back, no shutting it down or moving the season to spring at that point? Or do you think there could be a start, stop, postpone or cancel scenario once we get going?

Completely cancelled, what a shame. Small 2a school, I wonder if some of these kids could transfer out and play elsewhere or is too late?

Just reading up on Big 10, 12-2 vote only Nebraska and Iowa wanted to play. PAC 12 soon to follow but Big 12, ACC and SEC still in play. Looks like the south is going to have college football, talks of these schools going after the others top recruits. This could get ugly.

Does the NCAA have any say on this or do these conferences act independently? I still think the SEC is going to try to play and leave everybody else behind to figure it out, might as well declare Alabama national champs again.

Having a vaccine for Covid is the thought behind it but there is no guarantee that we have an effective one by then.

The SEC is going to play, they are already scheduling new matchups and I bet the Big 12 does too. Now the Big 10 and PAC 12 who knows, maybe spring before they play any games. How the heck do they set up bowl games or decide a champion this season with power 5 conferences possibly playing at different times?
