Port Arthur Memorial 65 Silsbee 48/FINAL
Boneyard Boys replied to Who That's topic in High School Boys Basketball
Thank you for the info, not trying to be disrespectful at all but they do have a very challenging pre-district schedule. Lufkin could also be a tough game but you would expect a team with as much success as Silsbee to build a hard schedule. Especially when compared to the other district teams, I’m sure it will serve them well once district play comes. They will be a battle tested district favorite but probably have a worse record than some of the other top teams. -

Off to an 0-3 start with all bad loses, is Silsbee ranked or were they ranked this season? Looking at West Brook, BUx2, and some other tough games on the schedule. The Tigers will probably have a very deceiving record once district play starts. I’m sure they will be fine, just curious where they stand at this point of the season. -

So the Chain Gang got sidelined by the China Virus then took a beating from China Spring and I’m just realizing that this whole damn thread is definitely racist... Should probably lock it up, this has digressed into a sociopolitical conversation... I believe @SmashMouthwould agree. -

Not quite, you still have all the 5A and 6A area teams that are yet to make their early round playoff exits. -

Silsbee about to take 3 blowout L’s in a row? Strange year on the hardwood for the Tigers, let’s see if the football guys help. District play will cure all their woes I’m sure, it looks pretty weak this year with HJ and HF out of the way. -

All HF out of the break, the Pirates are tired and breathing hard. Not basketball ready just yet. -

14-2 HF after 1 Pirates playing horribly, lucky Hamishire is missing some shots or it would be ugly... uglier. -

Well yea, when you replace them with Vidor and Orangefield lol. I wouldn't be surprised to see Lumberton or LCM take the district though. -

Baby steps Hag, just sneaking into the playoffs would be a major accomplishment on the hardwood. The team has some talent but it's going to take them a while to get it together. Just a bunch of athletes running around right now but hey, we have a good defense lol. -

52-46 Vidor final Much closer than it should have been but a win, is a win. We played bad and missed a lot of free throws but Kelly outdid us tonight. If they don’t figure a whole lot of things out the next game against HF may be a slightly different outcome. -

27-19 Vidor at halftime These kids are playing with some serious emotion tonight, both teams getting a little chippy. Free throw shooting contest at the end of the half. -

Kelly out to a quick lead, some football kids in off the bench to bring it close and it immediately gets really chippy in here. -

Pirates starting the basketball kids tonight, lots of underclassmen playing in this one. Likely Senior starters coming off the bench, taking some time to work the football guys in I guess. -

First time seeing the hardwood this season, for myself and about half the team. Is Vidor a favorite vs Kelly? I would imagine so but you never know about the private schools. -
No that was the HH game, Splendora beat us fair and square we just had a few key injuries.

The only explanation could be ineligibility due to grades. Anything else idk Hag, how could that happen?
