Ozen by 15-20

HJ has had a bunch of close results lately. i don't see this one being much different. HJ 85-72, but a close game until the 4th.

Horns win 80-72! This was a really nice win for Texas. Abrams had a really nice game with 20 points, as well as Damion James (17 points, 7 rebounds), and freshman Gary Johnson had a breakout game with 12 points and 8 big rebounds (and he only had one personal foul, which has been a problem for him). On top of that, UT had a start very similar to the one they had against the aggies, and were in a big hole early, but they were able to fight back nicely.

Texas led 76-68 with 1:30 left, now with :27 left it's 76-72.

Mizzou wins 77-74. Talk about an up and down week for K-State!

memphis made some freethrows down the stretch and won 70-64, but this was hardly an impressive result for the tigers.

Texas leads 52-47 with 13 minutes left. DJ Augustin is having another bad game. He's 1/5 from the field and 1/2 from the line, with 4 points. AJ Abrams appears to have regained his early-season form, however. he's 5/8 from the field, 3/5 from three, and has 17 points. it's good to see him draining the long ball again.

i doubt they'll lose a conference game, but when they get to the big dance and start playing schools that have had a conference schedule full of great teams, they might get surprised by someone.

haven't heard a word about them in weeks... how are they doing?

png nederland lumberton ozen christmas came early for 20-4A this year. first, an extra playoff spot is added, and then the team who would've surely been the favorite to win district gets moved out and replaced by a team that can be called competitive, but certainly not dominant like dayton. i think png is a lock. nederland gets their qb back, and has some pretty good players coming back, so i think they'll get back in this year. i think lumberton is going to be a little closer to the middle of the pack this season, and will sneak in with the 3rd or 4th spot. as for ozen, it's between them and central, and i think ozen showed some good promise last year.

you're right about BC fans being a little too optimistic. i think the only thing more optimistic on this thread is you saying that HF will be "battling" WOS for the crown. HF may be much improved (note that i picked them to make the playoffs), but i don't see WOS allowing any district opponent to finish a game closer than 21 points back next season.
