Thank you for posting this.  It has been a tough year for PN-G football and it is good to hear some positive things coming from the coaching staff.  These men are class acts and are hopefully instilling the importance of showing support and praise to all the up and coming young men that plan on playing the game... no matter what school or town you will be playing for!

The Lady Rockanoos played with the passion that has made them remain undefeated during district play. They never gave up, even when they were down two games to start with. This team should go far in the playoffs. Great coach, great kids, lots of talent. The Lady Raiders wanted that win more than any other win this season. They wanted it for them. They wanted it for their new coach. They wanted it for their senior. They left everything they had on that court last night. It just wasn't enough.  This Raider team is young, and I can't wait to see what they will do in the future. Keep up the hard work, and enjoy the ride, ladies! Yep they were begging for Dayton to be moved out of 20-4a. In fact, during that time Nederland got beat 63-0 and 35-7. PNG got beat 40-7 and 33-2.  ;D [/quote] Not debating that Dayton owned 20-4A when in district.  Just makes more sense to have them in your district, suffer the loss and still have a chance to make the playoffs rather than be forced to play them in the first round and lose. Thought you had first hand specific information about who was "begging the UIL" to move Dayton back to 19-4A. Sorry - misread your post.

When you start inside your 1 yard line and march down the field 99 yards in ten plays and score a touchdown...that's no fluke.  Although Nederland may have not been hitting on all cylinders - I look for them to improve during the last district games, pull out the district championship again this year and give Dayton or Summer Creek a good hard fought battle.

So....Nederland doesn't have any fair weathered fans? Is that your argument? All of your fans stay safely snuggled in their seats when you are getting beat by +20 points? No one leaves early to beat the traffic in Nederland? So i guess this is the part where you just can't win gracefully and walk away?

Never seen so many people so obsessed with the PNG fan base. Get over it already.  Focus on getting your home town folks to come out and support your team and stop worrying about how many of our fans are staying until the end of the game to support us.
