  1. For Bellville after falling short in the state championship last year expectations were high this year… despite losing 8 starters on defense. After losing one of our best offensive weapons to injury in week 2 and then our starting safety/kicker last week for the season we should still make a good playoff run. Things definitely have gone worse than expected for Bellville but playing a non district schedule like we did that was a possibility heading into this season. As far as district goes Bellville should go undefeated and finish 1st
  2. Been significantly better than Nederland
  3. No but the region was overall… I’m jkjk lol Every now and then 1 or two teams in the district stand out but as far as depth yes the district is pretty weak every year… Last year I feel Lumberton under achieved probably….
  4. if Kountze’s QB/S isn’t hurt then they stand a good chance vs New Waverly. He for sure is out this week and next I believe. Kountze’s one loss to Buna shouldn’t have happened… Kountze had 6 turnovers and 2 I think were inside the red zone… Kountze is better than people think but when you don’t have any depth injuries are killer. Newton and Woodville will beat Kountze easily. Anderson will most likely beat Kountze… but I don’t think New Waverly does if the lions are healthy.
  5. I was skeptical of them early on but I’ll give credit where it’s due.. they have done well. I think they will win the district. Winning district is their best chance at winning a playoff game… even then it will be tough and that isn’t necessarily a knock on Huffman. It’s just that other district is so deep
  6. 19-5A PNG 3 West Brook 1 (25-22, 25-21, 19-25, 25-20) 19-4A Hardin-Jefferson 3 Hamshire-Fannett 0 (29-27, 25-22, 25-14) 18-4A Bridge City 3 West Orange-Stark 0 Silsbee 3 Vidor 1 (25-17, 24-26, 25-22, 26-24) 21-3A Woodville 3 Newton 0 (25-11, 25-12, 25-16) 22-3A Buna 3 Orangefield 1 (25-27, 25-23, 25-18, 25-22) 24-2A Deweyville 3 Sabine Pass 0 26-1A Chester 3 Leggett 0 (25-0, 25-5, 25-1) 25-1A Spurger 3 Hull-Daisetta 0 (25-12, 25-12, 25-9)
  7. Playoff run from the regular season to Bi district… I mean it’s High School football and anything can possibly happen but even if your playing the 4 seed from the district over in the 1st round.. you have a serious uphill battle
  8. Pulling for Coach Rowes nephew in this one! Trojans get the W
  9. Bellville 3 Caldwell 0
  10. I agree… I’m all about being optimistic but what has Nederland done this season that would warrant them to beat a team like Lake Creek?
  11. Eh I wouldn’t count out Celina winning 4A D1 they are very impressive… but yes winner gets the playoff spot basically
  12. Hamshire Fannett by 13
  13. Kountze is in for a long night this Friday… even fully healthy they still get blown out by Newton… but against New Waverly they definitely can beat them
  14. A healthy Kountze no…
  15. You’re being very nice to your neighbors in Shepherd 😂
  16. Postem here
  17. In the 8 plus years I’ve lived in Bellville on varsity I can count on one hand the number of injured O lineman and running backs we have had.
  18. That ole attitude 😂😂
  19. Lumberton needs a win bad… I’ve seen Comments on Lumberton Facebook groups pleading people to keep cheering on the Raiders … it’s rough out there in LTown
  20. No unfortunately not… he is a senior to so pretty unfortunate for him
  21. No Bellville ain’t scoring 62 against any team that’s at least average lol not this year. Not saying La Grange is just average I’m just pointing out that our offense is pretty meh this year especially after we lost a RB in week 2
  22. Yeah Westwood should be ahead of those two IMO
  23. I think Kountze has improved from last year and has a great shot at making the playoffs… but Newton wins this one and names their score… 49-7 or something like that… prove me wrong Kountze
  24. Depends on the Bellville offense.. I’ve been wrong before and will again BUT I don’t agree… Looking at the numbers Bellville defensively is holding each of their opponents to season lows for points scored on the year..with the exception of Celina . I just don’t see La grange making much of a game out of it… But it’s high school sports and who knows what can happen. If I’m wrong I’ll eat the crow lol
