The line of "ole negative one" was in reference to you starting your post with "Hmmm...are you the current coach or a player's parent? ". To which I replied neither one.........your attempt to negate my opinion with a "accusation" failed!!! We will have to agree to disagree.........for someone so apoligetic about ruffling feathers, you sure seem to get yours in a fluff if the opine is not the same as yours!!!

Neither ole negative one.....WO-S has a stable of athletes that flock to football........but baseball unlike football has few plays to call. Very few baseball pitchers find out they can pitch in high school, and most position players play the same positions they have always played. Hope to not hurt anyones feelings, but a coach in HS baseball is more of a manager then a coach. A coach can help/assist fine tuning techniques, but the skill to play was learned in the early years. Again, look at the baseball youth programs of area cities and you will see what I mean.......for another example, mid county has a excellent baseball program, but in Port Arthur there is hardly any.....and it shows in their HS baseball programs.

Lets just say that BC has a strong baseball program.......they can play by the time that they get to High School. Look at the success they have had at the lower levels......the numbers thin as they get older, but the skills are learned at a young age. Now, let us move forward and keep the focus of the thread..........BC CARDS had a great year and we look forward to the next year!!!

Joe got tossed for failing to avoid contact with the player covering second base. Methveln(sp) should be kicked as he came over and pushed Joe after the contact.....JMHO.

Sorry had to take a break...... BC got two on in scoring position, but failed to get any in. So after 5 complete innings, the score is still tied at 3-3. Go BC!!!!!

Peloquin (sp) the batter with a runner on 2nd and 2 outs. grounds out to Mathews.....who makes a good play to throw him out!! So in the middle of the 5th the game is tied up 3-3 Lets go BC......get those runs back!!!

SH up to bat in the top of the 5th. Fudge flys out to left field. 1 out Lacy lays down a bunt, Kellogg overthrows to first......Lacy goes to second..... Brown (leadoff batter), hits to shortstop who trys to make the throw to third........runner missed the tag......everybody safe > Small up to bat with runners at first and third, 1 out.......flys out to first..............2 outs Methvin(sp) who hit a HR is up to bat......with 2 runners on. Hits a double to centerfield over the head of our centerfielder drives in both runners to tie the ball game >

Encalade strikes out swinging......1 out Robertson grounds out to the shortstop....2 out Hicks gets a called third strike......3 outs So after 4 complete innings, BC still leads 3-1 Go Cards!!!

Spring Hill up to bat........ Methvin hits a HR to right field.........so now 3-1 BC #4 batter in the line up......up next....Pelloquin (sp) grounds out to pitcher.........1 out Arquin (sp) gets a single up the middle. Nico (sp) flys out to center.........2 outs, runner still on first. Johnson grounds out to third. So in the middle of the 4th, BC leads 3-1 Go Cards!!!!

Kellogg ground out to third......first out. Cessac grounds out to the pitcher........second out. Muholland works a walk. Mathews grounds out to short...fielders choice. So after 3 complete, BC leads 3-0!! Go Cards!!

Middle of the third, SH goes down......1,2,3.......BC coming up to bat still leading 3-0!!

After 2 innings.......BC leads 3-0.

If........If the stadium is close to the high school, here are some directions: [Hidden Content] Again, these directions are to the high school, which is located on Hwy 94 W. Basically, drive to Lufkin, take the loop to the west and take Hwy 94 W for about 4.5 miles. Hope that helps!
