Your loss bmtball09. Kid is the next ARod. I've already got him on the antler spray.

I have a 9 year old, that imo is better than most 11 year olds in the area.  He plays every position except catcher. He sits at 70-73 on the mound, and has an unbelievable curveball. Kid knows the game well, and has great instincts on the field. He could probably help you out a little bit with coachimg as well. Great speed, and hits for tremendous power to all fields.  I don't know if your open to looking at him, but we would like a shot. I would prefer him play at the premier level, but we could settle for elite at this time. Pm me if interested. Thanks

[/quote] I think the coaching is the best Vidor has ever had, Vidor has never had the amount of talent at the Varisity level before, as far as pitching, IMO. Fourth seed playoff births usally mean lack of pitching.  Another reason, IMO ,is training before high school, Vidor is finally starting to see the "Select kids" who are trained in the fundemantals before they get to High school and have played in alot games, against good competition. Every Starter on that team has played Hundreds of Games, maybe more, and coach by professional coaches. High School is simply; the time to show off what you have been working your tail at all summer and fall. Hopefully, the underclassmen and Jr high kids are doing the same. LOL. I won't stir the pot with you anymore, although I think y'all would lose 11 out of 10 times if y'all played that team. Who coaches that Gladiator team?  I know Harrington coaches the prospects, but I'm not to familar with the Gladiator coach.  He seems pretty stern with them. Even with the big lead they had the othet night, he was still getting in some of their butts.

After what I saw, I would be careful what you ask for.  Unless there are any new 12 year old teams that I don't know about, I don't see anybody in this area competing with them. Those boys can knock the crap out of the ball. That is not a knock on the prospects, just my opinion. You guys look to have a decent elite team, and might give our elite team a run for our money....maybe lol

Wasn't aware that you had a kid on that team.  Plus am I supposed to know who you are, or what you look like?  Were you the big guy controlling the radio?  If so, nice selection of tunes brotha.

After my sons team lost, I stuck around and watched the championship, to see what all the hype was about. I must say I was impressed. Gladiators looked solid all around.  Swung the bats well, played solid D, and their pitcher was bringing some heat. They look like an all around solid team that should have a big year. 

I thought the prospects tied once and lost once to the Brewers?  Either way, a good showing for those boys in the first tournament.

Your team played Nations last year?  Free tournaments are good for teams. My question was simply how will they make it?  Surely they have field fees, and other fees to pay per tournament. I am in noway knocking usssa for putting on free tournaments, just curious as to how much money they will lose doing so.

Last year at this time, Ford Park was packed every night with teams practicing. Now your lucky to see 2 teams a night out there. I wonder how those new prices for field rentals are working for them?
