  1. Cant blame him!!!!! The Texans have the #1 overall pick in the draft, finish with 14 straight losses, and the whole world has known since Mid-September that their biggest off season need is a QB and the best answer their front office comes up with is Tom Savage???!!!! Bill Obrien better be the a offensive guru they think he is because if not what a joke!!!

Andre Johnson to Pats for Mallet?? Could get interesting imo........

  2. The injury occurred in 2012. He has been limited in his ability to work out due to recovery from that and several other injuries. Bottom line, he was not drafted. He will get an opportunity to now prove himself like many other FA signees.

That's what I said 2012 its 2014 bud... Correct me if I'm wrong but he played/started in all 13 games in the 2013 season & was projected as a 3rd to 4th round pick by many media scouting services......

  3. Texas A&M & Louisville had the most 1st round NFL Draft Picks

    Texas A&M

    #6 Jake Matthews

    #7 Mike Evans

    #22 Johnny Manziel

    Louisville

    #18 Calvin Pryor

    #26 Marcus Smith

    #32 Teddy Bridgewater

SEC had 11 out of 32 1st Round Draft Picks

    #2 Greg Robinson (Auburn)

    #6 Jake Matthews (Texas A&M)

    #22 Johnny Manziel (Texas A&M)

    #23 Dee Ford (Auburn)

***Not mentioning any names but how come a Co-_ig12-2 Defensive Player Of The Year not get DRAFTED???? ***Congrats to Jason Verrett (TCU) #25 to San Diego!!!

  4. "As is custom, SEC schools and their recruiting grounds dominated the opening rounds"

  5. Cant have it both ways cougar if recruits look at losses as just that losses than how do you explain Mizzou 39th like you said they made it to the SEC title game yet like my comparison above to the NFL divisions the SEC East is a little easier!!  Heck if Vandy wasn't in the SEC they would finish comparable to Iowa State & Kansas in the recruiting ranks!! How can you explain Kentucky out recruiting Baylor, Okie State, West Virginia, Texas Tech, TCU & Kansas State???? That over half your league that Kentucky out recruited!! lol

I can see your a little 12-2 homer & think that is the best conference which is laughable hope you enjoy watching Baylor, Iowa State, WV & TCU this year at home if I was you I would get my tickets early they should all be sell outs...

Look at the 2013 bowl record: SEC (7-3) little 12-2 (3-3)

Finished Year Ranked: SEC (7 in top 25 A&M being one of the 7 btw and 4 outta of the 7 finished in the top 10) little 12-2 (3 in top 25 and 1 of the 3 finished top 10)

    2014 Recruiting: SEC

    NFL Draft: ? SEC IMO

Don't be mad bro I understand or you wouldn't be on Aggie Topic trying to hate on both A&M and the SEC go talk about yalls big hire and OU!!

  6. I didn't forget about Tennessee, I named the 7 teams I meant. You're kind of proving my point, the only difference is 247 has Ole Miss and SC a spot or two higher. They also put more classes in the 30's though. Your Tennessee argument is pretty funny, Texas finished 2-6 in the sorry Big 12 in 2010 and had the #3 class in the nation according to 247. A&M's class with Manziel and Evans was 31st that year in case you were wondering.

Maybe I'm missing something, but A&M loses the same amount of games in the SEC that they did in the Big 12. I guess Aggie just feels better about losing to Missouri now because they're both in the SEC?

You just proved my point with A&M class of Manziel and Evans 31st in the country now look since they joined the SEC!!

FYI 1/1 with Missouri &  Bama, Auburn, LSU isn't anything to be ashamed off.

SEC West best division in college football bar none its like the NFC West division which is also considered the best division in the NFL and Arizona went 2-4 in the NFC West Division but was 10-6 overall that means they only lost 2 games outta of there own division & didn't make the playoffs but Green Bay did 3-2-1 won NFC North division and was 8-7 overall so a 8-7 team made it & a 10-6 didn't amazing right. New England in 08 was 4-2 in the AFC East 11-5 overall and didn't make the playoffs but a 5-1 AFC West 8-8 overall San Diego Chargers did since they won there division hopefully these example will help you.......

  7. You keep drinking that SEC kool-aid. South Carolina, Kentucky, Ole Miss, Arkansas, Missouri, Miss. State, and Vandy are also in the SEC. None of them had a class ranked higher than 16 last year according to Rivals. So while half the SEC classes were top 10, the other half had classes ranked in the 20's, 30's, and 40's. Sumlin can get these highly recruited guys from urban areas because like McKinney said, "he can relate" to the players. You think Noil is picking A&M over LSU or 'Bama if Sumlin isn't there? Maybe Lanfear's comments threw you off, right after he said "they also play in the SEC", he said " . . . and they have horses right by the stadium". Things will start to tail off once recruits' hosts start to tell them about how they got arrested for what they deemed petty and how they have to go to Bryan to fit in.

Forgive me but I use 247 Sports Instead of Rivals..

    247 Sports 2014 Team Rankings:

    South Carolina #15

    Kentucky #23

    Ole Miss ##14 (Finished #4 In 2013)

    Arkansas #30

    Missouri #39

    Mississippi St. #34

    Vandy #46

Cougar14 match any other conference in recruiting top to bottom & you should get the picture btw you forgot about Tennessee in your assessment as they were in the bottom of the SEC last year (2-6) but finished #7 in recruiting!!

To answer your Speedy Noil question if Sumlin wasn't there, just depends on the Offense the Ags ran but regardless he would've been in the SEC.

  8. Well that's kind of true but not really. I put the link up so you can go back and check A&M's classes for the last decade before Sumlin got there. The top recruits from the state either went to Texas or out of state like Luck and Stafford did. The kids A&M used to get didn't have offers to Texas, much like JF didn't. Other than Joekel and Michael, I don't think Texas even recruited the level of guys A&M was getting.

At that time if Texas wanted 25 players, they gave out about 45 offers. One time I saw they signed 19 from 33 offers. I think the decisions back then were either Texas, OU, or out of state as you can see from A&M never producing a class ranked higher than 15. IMO A&M will only be able to recruit the way they have the last couple of years if Sumlin hangs around. I think the Aggie admins see it too which is why Sumlin gets a raise for winning less games than he did the year before, yet Mark Richt and Les Miles are always on the verge of being run out of town for winning 10 games.

Really doesn't matter if Sumlin hangs around or not the Ags is getting & will continue to get recruits since they play in the SEC....

247 Sports 2014 Final Recruiting Rankings 7 out of the 10 was from the SEC

  9. ^^^Perryman is a beast I agree!!! Hopefully Duke is back healthy & hopefully they don't run him to death like they did last year.....

Actually it was 08 Kenny Phillips (NY) 1st round last pick (31st) still first round though.

Jimmy Graham is a beast in the NFL but played b-ball mostly in college only one year of football..

  10. ^^^King I call the lsof miami because the size of the campus is 300+ acres heck I myself has way more land than that pretty sure Lamar does too!! Another reason is one of my best friends (cane fan btw)) and he is ashamed by the attendance at the football games that's another reason I call them lsof miami.....

Yea, Ill throw you a bone the ls of miami may still have the most NFL players but Im not sure anymore but I do know they haven't put out any first rounders in some time and most of them in the league now is pretty dang old its not the canes of the 1990's anymore heck they cannot compete in the ACC coastal which you yourself said is garbage.... As for the Ags this will be four years straight with a top 10 pick in the NFL Draft....

2011 Von Miller #2 Overall Pick

2012 Ryan Tannehill #8 Overall Pick

2013 Luke Joeckel #2 Overall Pick

    2014 JFF ?

    2014 Mike Evans ?

    2014 Jake Matthews ?
