Just because I said it wouldn't bother me if one got it, doesn't mean I "hate" or "hating" as you say on the other one.  Just because you have a preference on something doesn't mean you dislike the other or "hating".  Just because I prefer a GMC over a Ford or Dodge truck, a Mustang over a Camaro or a Yamaha over a Mercury, doesn't mean I "hate" the other.  I don't have any boys currently in the boys basketball program or in the near future, so it really doesn't matter to me one bit who they give it to.  I just want them to be successful and will be at every game that I can make.  I won't be in an uproar on whoever they name.  I'll congratulate them on here and if/when I see them in public.  I've been privileged to some meetings that apparently you haven't been.  I have heard out of the decision makers mouths what they are looking for on and off the field/court in these hires for United and so far they are staying true to what they said.

Oh trust me bro, I'm one of the biggest opponents of people being able to use fake names and fake pictures on here.  This website would be a lot less drama free if real names and photos had to be used.  They are able to throw stones and hide their hand.  Stay around for a while, it won't be hard to figure out who I am, especially in football season...

It really don't matter because I have been here along time and really don't to know who anyone on here is, it's might be best that way. But I do agree wit you on the throwing stone and hiding their hands thing.......lol

I know of them both as much as I care to or need to know.  I'll go on record and say that it wouldn't bother me one bit if Thomas got the job.  Support? I already have United t-shirts that I've been wearing around town to support the school, staff and students.  How about you?  I've been involved in this entire process since August.  How about you?

And if I want to speak on a story on this message board, I can.  What are you going to do, shut me up?

One thing I agree with you on, Beaumont United Timberwolves will be a great thing :)

I have been here as well I dont get on here and say much at all. So it wouldn't bother if Thomas got the job but it would if Paul got the job? Sounds like a bit of hate to me. And you can talk all you want no one wants to shut u up besides idk who non of yall are. People would love it if Thomas get the job but hate it if Paul get's it. SMH

And that may very well be true and I don't know the man and this is not taking a shot at him at all.  Look at the Arthur Louis hire (football), Williams (volleyball) and all the rest of the positions that have been filled so far, they are not just looking at wins and losses.  They are doing background research, calling around asking about people, their social and personal life, seeing what they have posted on facebook and other social sites.  Are they going to mesh with other staff or be an a**h*** to be around?  Are they going to allow players to cuss out other coaches, teammates, etc. and continue to play them because they are good?  They don't want to put a person that can win games but is not a good example of what the students will be looking up to, girls and boys.  They have got to get this right as best as possible.

I feel the same way about this position as I did the football position, make it an outside of the district hire so that you know that the coach simply wants to come here and win.  Nobody will be able to say he is playing more Ozen or Central players but instead he is playing the best players to give him the chance to win.  I don't see that happening in football even though it's been lopsided on the varsity and JV side at least the last 5 years.  I hope I'm proven wrong...

First of all idk if you even know either Thomas or Paul but it seems to me its more hate and no support. Yall so quick to say what's was goin on in both programs. No coach just let a player cuss out a coach and let them play cuz they are good if you don't know the whole story don't speak on it. If yall would support your coaches rather the down them this could be a great thing. Both Thomas and Paul have a great deal to do with kids from both teams. Yall just need to stop hating like frfr IJS

Not knocking them at all...Boutte didn't start off at PA Lincoln, he started off at Kountze...So did Green as a head coach. See a pattern here?  You don't gain experience at jobs that you are not ready for. Note I did NOT say jobs that they 'cannot HANDLE'....I said NOT READY FOR. Dues are underrated, but certain jobs will require a certain type of savvy in coaching AND off court management that some guys are just not ready for...Not a knock, just facts.

So how much do you know about Paul or Thomas how do you know that they don't what it takes to run a program like that? And how do you figure that they are not ready!!!!! IMO both take good care of their programs on and off of the court.

Simple. Track record. Either of those guys would be capable of taking over that basketball job, however, if the BISD AD wants RESULTS, the guys that I named have a PROVEN TRACK RECORD OF RESULTS.

Yeah understandable but all the guys u named had to get a start somewhere Boutte didn't have a track record when he got his first job. Both Paul and Thomas came up under Boutte. I think either one of them would do a great job and would have a solid staff. So knocking them because they don't have the track record of the older coaches is not rt.

If either of those guys were to be considered, that job would not be open to outside applicants.  The new Beaumont jobs are not for inexperienced head coaches in basketball or football.  While they are both decent coaches in their own right, I just don't think they are the right choice for a consolidated job between the two schools. It will take a coach that BOTH groups of kids will respect and follow.  David Green, Andre Boutte, Todd Sutherland, Duane Joubert, Joe Sigler, are the names that come to mind from the area in basketball.  Football will definitely have to go outside, but that's another discussion.

So what makes u think that they wouldn't respect Paul and Thomas and would respect the other guys. Paul and Thomas have worked with kids from both programs and from what I hear the kids have respect for both of them. Imo if one of them are not hired they will lose a lot of kids.

LMAO oh ok so they will be the only ones working HA HA HA Silly Silly Yall will come off that high horse very very soon...lol yall better win state all the mess yall talk.......ijs

Central sent the starters home so that made silsbee not wanna play the jv kids. Central knew what was up that's why they sent the starters home but in November they want be able to run. And by the way I didn't see not one of the starters say no coach we wanna play them so don't know which the scariest the head coach or the players see you guys in November.

I promise u the kids nor the coach is scared of silsbee if you think that you don't know the kids or the coach and if you seen all of that you would have heard all of the starters wanted to play but there was no point. And last I don't think that you can call the coach scary lol if you think that why don't you tell him that because if he was scared of silsbee he would have taken them off of the schedule...... ijs........

The freshmen for Central and Ozen played on JV or varsity when they were Fish, so no, they didn't go 24-0. That Freshmen team for Ned was good for sure. They didn't lose all year and won two JV tourneys. That's the 1st year Jalen played with them. Jalen left, which hurt physically and mentally. Just as the Vikings will likely struggle this year losing Bridgewater two weeks before the season starts, the Ned Bball team lost their QB last year weeks before their season started. I also think some of that group (for Ned) peaked early and/or didn't put in the time and effort to maximize their potential.

Enogh about the past, this thread is about this year.

The freshman from central 2015 2016 season went 24-0 under coach Dotson

Haha. Good one Mamba. I like a good jab once in a while. I miss my boy Blue throwing jabs towards his southern neighbors. We use to have some intense (yet respectful) debates over the past 5 years or so.

Truth be told our Freshman class only lost 1-2 games over their JR high days, so this group will likely win state and prolly be ranked #1 in the Nation in 2019/2020.

All joking aside, there will be a few from this group who can go. One could be impactful this year on the big stage. I don't think a Freshman has ever started the season on varsity (in Big Ned). This could be a special one...

But correct me if i'm wrong Central had a good freshman team rt? Didn't they go 24-0 but (Ned) and (ozen) freshman were better then them?

Well thx TxHoops i know a lil something some of the times even tho we dont see eye to eye ..lollll... Ozen might have its most prolific scorer in a long time next year along with guards and who bigs who will be some of the best in the state...just wait for it..Ozen is the BEST program at developing kids ffrom the freshman level. Yea certain schools might get all the so called talent but if the talent isnt developed it means diddly squat.....The entire coaching staff at Ozen should get an award because those guys care about the kids first, education and then basketball. There are kids in the program who dont have the name but have the game.(dont steal my slogan im charging) so yep theyll be back trust me, let eveeryone else hae that microwave success we slow cook ours so it taste better.

The most prolific scorer? And how is Ozen the best program at developing kids? Now that sounds like a lil hate... I think all schools develop and care about kids that's what good coaches and programs do. And Ozen wont be the only school that will be back and better next year you just watch.......
