  1. They should compete with teams and will probably beat Orangefield, Bridge City and H-J......but I'm worried about their defense and if it will suffer with Broussard now at PN-G.  Daigle looks good and so does Cameron Burrell, but I don't see this year's Horns making too much noise!

  2. Hey Soulja, have you seen Central's new uni's!  Black and Maroon, underarmer....not mesh....some sweat obsorbing fabric that is supposed to prevent careless fumbles.  You can see them next week on the cover of The Examiner SouthEast Texas Football Guide......they're sweet.

  3. Athlete.....I didn't say football player.  Bottom line is, he did it all...and he did it all,GREAT!  He was All-American at Blinn at his true position of cornerback and if it weren't for him having Ced Jr., he would still be playing D1 ball right now probably at Oklahoma State!  Yeah you heard right.....there's another Larnette coming to Southeast Texas...scarry, huh?

  4. 2002 Bridge City @ Hamshire Fannett

21-7 BC led at the half on two busted plays in which Jamie Knight scrambled and ran for two 60+ yard touchdowns.  Hamshire came out in the second half and completely dominated, only to lose 35-32.  Key play was early in the fourth, BC fumbles and Longhorn LB, Kenny Trahan picks up the ball and returns it all the way to the five yard line.  Hamshire couldn't get the ball in because of a fumbled snap and had to settle for the field goal.  Lose by three, a touchdown there means the Longhorns win by one.  Both quarterbacks (Knight & Hidalgo) played supurb football as well as both running backs (Peebles & Larnette)for each team.  Great game none the less!

  5. Anthony Semien, 1988-90, was the best running back for Hamshire-Fannett.  Spencer George, 1989-1991, was a close second.  Felman Malveaux, 1988-90, was the best athlete.

At Silsbee, Robert Arline played on the same team with William Graham and Doug Shankle.  Three of the best players in Silsbee history.

I will disagree with Felman being the best athlete.  Cedric Larnette was easily the best athlete to come from HF.  Record at Hamshire in the Forty (4.35) ran a 4.29 at Blinn, still ran the 100 in high 10.1 plus he could jump out of the gym (ask keithan Hancock and Ashton Hall) he caught two alleys against Kountze not to mention he posterized everyother team he played against.  Larnette was a straight up stud and coaches trembled every time he touched the ball.  I bet if he wasn't afraid of a baseball he would be great at that as well!

  6. I just got back from Buna and I was at Ec the other day, and I gotta tell you that EC athletes are far superior than that of the Cougars!  The only thing that could keep this game close could be the offensive line of EC, a lot of inexperience there but I still think EC walks away with this game as well as the district title!

  7. Im readt for this game, Its EC homecoming and you will see ALL GREEN & YELLOW in the stands, because its going to be a pack game, Buna will bring a Bunch of Blue to pump up the guys and get em ready for a great football game

EAST CHAMBERS & BUNA Crowd are going to have a blast, Because its goin to be the LOUDEST Game, i ever seen

Go to an EC/HF game then.....you can't move due to the amount of people, and you can't hear yourself think....excitement!
