1. No, he took the McMurry University job...It is a lot more complicated than many of you know.
2. And as expected, you did not answer my question.... ::)...What would YOU refer to the guy as? Just to bring it a bit closer to home, how about if that was YOUR DAUGHTER that was involved? And you really are taking up for this loser...Unreal...sticking together, taken to a WHOLE OTHER level... ::)
3. What exactly would you refer to this guy, then? Better yet, what if this were YOUR daughter in this situation with this LOSER PEDOPHILE? Fact is, you are not the only person on here that knows the law....I have never mentioned anyone's name on this public forum....defamation....come on man....the guy in question has much bigger fish to fry at this point...PAISD is not a part of the SE Texas "good ole boy" system, so this time he will be properly dealt with.  I THINK EDUCATORS THAT INVOLVE THEMSELVES WITH KIDS ARE SICK PEOPLE.....Sue me for THAT...
4.
Obviously a potential 2nd degree felony is more serious than a contract violation. What does that have to do with the price of eggs in China?
EVERYTHING....Don't you see that? Contract Violation = Certificate revocation........Pedophile having relationships with kids = leave the school district and go to Port Arthur...Doesn't make much sense really... :o
5. Once again, I know of a certain coach that had his certificate revoked after breaking his contract with Anahuac for GOOD CAUSE...Nothing illegal...nothing immoral...The Anahuac Supt. reported it and SBEC took that action...Don't you think that this guys act was just a bit more serious than that? I know I do.
6.

She is 17 NOW...11th grader....TURNED 17 in 2012....you're a biased man, tvc184, but you're not stupid.
The article does not say "NOW". I am only going by what I read in the media. How is that being biased? If she was 16 or younger, why not Sexual Assault of a Child instead of Improper Conduct?
Excellent question, officer... >:(

No...I said A CERTAIN DEMOGRAPHIC of people that apply for teaching jobs (non administrative) in Port Arthur ISD, would be somewhere else if they COULD...THAT'S what I said.  That pedophile was allowed by TWO OTHER LOCAL DISTRICTS to keep his certification, despite being accused of doing the same thing that he was caught doing in PAISD to kids....that is wrong on so many levels.
So are you saying that the certain demographic (white) employees in PA are problematic or bottom of the barrel? Plus, a district does not have the ability take away someone’s certification because there is suspicion. There must be some proof.
It is the district duty to REPORT THESE ACCUSATIONS OF IMPROPER CONDUCT TO SBEC (State Board for Educator Certification)...and these local district failed to do so...why? cover up? protect your own? what was the reason this pedophile was able to infiltrate a neighboring school district and sexually assault young girls?
7. She is 17 NOW...11th grader....TURNED 17 in 2012....you're a biased man, tvc184, but you're not stupid.
8. Man, please....that KID was 16....please stop trying to defend this clown.
9. 10. The proof is in the ACTION...It happened, they covered it up, and he ended up in PAISD...Let me reveal something to you...whenever a certain demographic ends up at a PAISD school...9 times out of 10 it is due to the fact that they are not allowed to work at certain other types of schools, are not worth a nickel, or have been given an ultimatum to stay away from their kids, because if they could work in another SE Texas district they WOULD....FACT.
11. Sure you can pm me, baddog...
12. Once again, you have missed it...I am saying that it HAPPENS here in SE Texas, just as you guys say it happens so frequently in Houston, specifically at Yates.  Houston has more KIDS...This is why it seems like its happening on such a larger scale..Yates had TWO transfers last year, and they both played on the JV team....They had another come in the year before, and he came a mid year, also playing 9th grade ball....Thats 3 in a two year span in a city with millions of people...Sour lake has had one third as many in that time frame...I would say its proportionate...Wouldn't you?
13. Point #1: Where there is smoke there is fire...If you carry yourself in a certain manner, NO ONE will bw able to say those type of things about you. Point #2: This is NOT the first incident with this particular person....NEDERLAND and LCM's District's BOTH COVERED UP for this guy..They won't let them back in obver there, but they won't tell why either...WRONG. Point #3: He was CAUGHT red handed....I know this to be fact...Note: my brother is the Memorial principal. The districts that covered this up for him need to be dealt with as well...
14.
Numbers (percentages) don't lie, look them up them for yourself and then answer your own question.
Actually they can be very misleading...BISD has been a Recognized District....So, again...WHY HJISD?
15.
* 2010-11 Academically Unaceptable Rating * 2010 HS TAKS Math Scores 31% * 1 0f 10 Senior's met College entrance exam standards * enrollment has dropped 10% in last 2 years. * Crime percentages in the area surrounding the school is at an all time high I Googled a certain schools name / College Readiness: out of the top 5 listings 3 were sports related, 1  dealing w/crime and 1 educational.  HJISD had open enrollment last year and we received approximately 60 transfers and get 1 starter in BB. Those numbers do not substantiate an active recruiting process. Dickie, you said one thing with merit throughout this conversation, if your program is worthy people will come.  I assure you we do not rely on our Basketball program to boost our ADA.  It would be safe to say that HJISD has more to offer than a potential State Basketball Championship.  Comparing Yates basketball program to HJ's is not apples to apple, not even close.
OK that is fine, but what about in Beaumont ISD? The kid in question came from there...Are you saying that he couldnt get a quality education at Westbrook or Ozen?
16. Neither does Yates...But they could say you guys stole a kid from Central, although that would not be the truth either. He just showed up...right?
17. Larger city nash... ::) ::)...you know better than that...If HJ were in a larger place, the numbers would be very similar.
18. You get my point though....The better your program is, the more likely a kid will just show up at your school.  Be honest with yourselves...Its not just at Yates.
19.

They COVERED IT UP! I must say that this is a CRIME in itself....I know of a certain coach that walked away from Anahuac HS a few years back, and the Supt. REPORTED that he broke his contract with the district to SBEC.....Subsequently his certificate was revoked and he had to go through the appeal process to get it back....WHY WAS THIS GUY WHOSE CRIME WAS 20 TIMES WORSE, NOT TO MENTION ILLEGAL, GET A PASS TWICE IN TWO DIFFERENT DISTRICTS? Million dollar question... >:(
Since I know your history to really spring high on some issues, help me get this straight.  YOU KNOW FOR CERTAIN that the same issues are what caused his tenure to end at Nederland and also at Orangefield?
I know this for a FACT...Just verified it...Shame. >:(
20. They COVERED IT UP! I must say that this is a CRIME in itself....I know of a certain coach that walked away from Anahuac HS a few years back, and the Supt. 21. So you are telling me that each and every kid (except the Johnson kid) was born, raised and reared in Sour Lake, Texas? Or even Nome, or China? And once again there is NOTHIING wrong if its not, I am just asking...You guys want to give Yates HS program a hard time for having kids that transfer there (without coercion), but if you guys look at this objectively, it happens in most places where there are good basketball programs. Its not accident that Silsbee got a kid from out of town..It speaks for their program, and its nothing wrong with that.
22. Why is there less of a "risk" in outlying areas....Don't answer that, because I already know the answer..and its certainly not always true...I am not sure about EVERY kid that has landed there, but I know of a few...Its not coincidental, by no means that they happen to be pretty decent ball players either....No crime in that..just what it is..
23. Ridiculous....It is my understanding that he had this same issue at LCM...Can anyone confirm this?
24. I went to school in the "rough, tough, and dangerous" confines of the city of Houston...great education, Advanced Placement programs, great basketball program and never had a knife pulled on me...I also coached in the "rough, and tough" Beaumont ISD....magnet school,  new facilities, no knife fights there either.....try that one again.....there are MANY options that I would say that are just as good or better than Sour Lake...not that Sour Lake is a bad option, but in this area its not the ONLY one...what makes SL stand out? Their outstanding basketball program....tradition....great coaching staff...so in some students eyes, it is a terrific option...Why not Bridge City? Cause the trophy case is empty....or Orangefield? Cause they likely don't even HAVE a trophy case...come on nash...HJ gets kids often times because of the outstanding basketball program...Just like Yates....
