Barbers Hill and Vidor played a dh on a Saturday in '07 when Vidor's prom was that night. If I'm not mistaken, all of the Vidor players made it to the prom as well. I am starting to think like an earlier poster questioned....did this all come up before or after the coin flip ?

When did the prom start having more clout than the baseball playoffs ? I can tell you it did not in '07 and '08. As another poster stated, sounds like a Brenham problem not Barbers Hill.

Plus Griff is an amazing coach himself. [/quote] I agree Griff is also one of the best around. My response was entirely directed at BH being over confident or looking ahead. Don't think a #4 seed playing the #1 team in state will be over confident. I do think that BH does not want this to go three games with the last two at LCM. Another poster asked how many wins will be on the field btw the two coaches...I hope someone answers this..it has to be up there.

This series could be interesting. Taking nothing away from Nederland, but Dayton has a couple of arms that, when on, can flat out pitch. I will go with Nederland in 3.

You must be a woman . Lol . Sowell for Dayton couldn't have walked to the plate and placed his fastball any better than he was from the mound . And I believe it was his split finger that was dropping off the table and keeping the Crosby hitters guessing . I believe it was also Sowell with a double to the gap in right center that plated the lone run if the game . Gotta give it to wehmeyer , he knows how to make things exciting , but from a coaches standpoint , I think I would rather watch the boring part of the game vs the last 1 2/3 part . Kudos to Coach Denny and the Eagles. This team is playing some really good baseball. If I am not mistaken, I believe the Lady Eagle softballers are ranked #1 as well.
