The Astros should sign him.  At least he would put some butts in those empty seats.

There is actually talk of that very thing...Smart move on everyone's part, IMO. Skeeters sale out the stadium, Astros would fill empty seats. Clemens would get off Hall of Fame ballot from Bonds and push eligbility back another 5 years.

Chip has to be the most generous person I have ever met. He has helped more young men follow their dream of playing baseball at the next level that would have never had the opportunity to without the the support he provides the team.
It is amazing to watch.
The organization not only teaches them baseball and provides opportunities to these young men.  They also give them the experience of staying away from home, and being more independent which prepares them for the transition to college.
Watching the boys thank Chip for all he does, is a joy to watch. They all come to him and shake his hand and the smile on his face let's you know it is all worth it to him. He takes a personal interest in each of them.
Again, the most generous personI know.

Don't think I could have said it any better.

Jerimichael Finley - Diboll.  Playing for Green Bay packers now.  BH played against him and everytime the ball went in his direction we had at least two people trying to make him wish he was at home.  He played offense, defense, and special teams.  Watched him throw-up on the side lines at least twice and he kept playing.  We pretty much shut him down that game, but he was one tough dude and one heck of an athlete.

All Sate All American AJ Dugat from Dayton ! I remember when we played BH he caught a pass at the line of scrimmage and broke six point blank tackles for a TD and that was the norm for him he had more moves than a greasy politician at election time.

Good call on Dugat....was fun watching that kid play.

Also, remember Brent Duhon with Todd Dodge at TJ.

I think he means the best team in 19 4a. Everyone knows bh won district but did nothing with it. Bh got a home game against a 4 seed and lost. Bh lost their last 2 games at home thats not a team heading in the right direction

That's better....that I can agree with.  ;)

Kaleb Denny and Christian Thames made the all tournament team at The  perfect game world wood bat national tourney.
The Columbia Angels are one of the top organizations in the nation and have owned the Heat head to head for the last 3 years.
Congrats to Caleb and Christian on all-tourney. Always like seeing the Barbers Hill kids have success.
IMO, the Columbia Angels are one of the premier select teams, have been for awhile.
I can only speak for the Houston Heat but I can assure you that getting kids exposure and college scholarships is higher on the goals list than "owning" another Houstonn area select team. Just sayin.
