1. I'm Pullin' for the Bulldogs in this one. I think that If your guys can just play as close to a mistake free game as possible, and most of the calls go your way, you should be able to get the win against GT. I was not that impressed by their teams (GT's) abilities, and I don't think that they necessarily played any better IMO than the 'Cats did last weekend. They just had more breaks that went their way, and made a couple less mistakes, that was it. Our guys just made too many mistakes on offense AND on defense, and they lost because of it. Period. From what I have seen, GT does not appear to be more special than Angleton or Ned. I think Nederland moves ahead after tomorrow. GO DOGS!

It will be a battle.  These two teams seem very similar in a lot of ways, but totally different in the game plans.  Both have good athletes... Think it just comes down to who has the best game preparation and planning with fewest mistakes.
Yep. That is the reason that Angleton lost to GT. Just a couple too many mistakes...mostly by the Cat's defense. And GT was prepared to take advantage of the opportunities provided to them on that day.

Bastrop put 28 points up running the same type of offense and they don't have two 1,450 yard backs in the backfield.  Angleton will get in the 40s at the very least!
The game with Bastrop was 33-7 at half, Georgetown pulled all their starters starting the 2nd half. You have the game in hand why play your starters in a game that means nothing. No reason to risk injury when the games out of hand.
Trust me when I say that Angleton isn't Bastrop. You'll see what I mean soon.
  4. Good Job BIG NED!! Great game tonight! As far as the idiot refs go, I think any team who plays Dawson always seems to have to play the refs too. At least that's how it has always been for us.  >:( Anyway, we have a lot of work to do tomorrow (and a lot of driving ::)) But I believe the Wildcats will take care of business and then we can see a re-match next weekend!
Yeah, and I'm pretty sure the cats are much, much better at running that offense than bastrop is too. ;)

was at ned vs angleton game and they are good and fast. i think angleton will win but if they make mistakes Gt will make them pay. Angleton 31 GT 21
What about their pass defense?
I think they have close to 25 Ints on the year.  If you include forced fumbles they have forced about 40 turnovers this year in 12 games.
It should be a good game, also hope Ned wins Friday as well, I will not make either game but will be there next week pulling for those bulldogs. ;D
Cat's D is VERY QUICK and powerful, and will work together and do thier best to get at the GT QB and cause him to make mistakes (which WILL lead to turnovers / int's) if he chooses to try to pass it. If GT trys to run the ball, I think they will also have trouble moving it foreward. All I can say is speeeeeeed kills! And we have a LOT on both sides along with a good mix of size and power.
I would like to know if there is any video on the Ned@Angleton game?
I seriously doubt it, as it was storming / raining like a cow peeing on a flat rock for about the last 35-40 min of that game. So bad that halftime show had to be cancelled. :o
  8. Like 979 said, Angleton's past playoff experience (coaches and team) will make the difference in the outcome of this one IMO. Hell, a few of the teams coaches are retired NFL players, and one of them (Gardner) earned a Superbowl (XLI) ring while playing for Indianapolis, so they know what it takes to win in this type of situation. We also have the athletes to pull it off.

Will they be selling tickets @ Reliant? Or do I need to drive up the road to PD's place to get them before friday? I gotta make this game, it's gonna be a gooood one. Then, It's off to Gupton Stadium sat morning to see our 'Cats play! Then, pro ball on sun. My w/e will be spent watching lots of high quality HS and NFL football!  ;D ;D ;D The Cat's owe PD a whippin' too after last year's quarter final game, so GO BIG NED!!!
They will be selling tickets at the gate for $13. Idk about Dawson High School, but in Nederland you can buy tickets at the school. Students $7 and Adult $10. It should be the same over there.
Well, I know I can get tickets for the 'Cats saturday game at the field house. I'll ask them if maybe they have tickets for the NED/PD game also.

All I know is Angelton's a bunch of good for nothing, tea sippin' democrats who ain't never felt the punch of a rifle takin' down an early morning buck 250 yards out.
First of all, that's SWEET TEA. LOL! And after this saturday, your G-String Turkeys will be spending the remainder of the season watching playoff highlights of our games on TV, and you will be free on the weekends for several months. Then you and the team will have time to do all the weekend deer huntin' that you can handle together.  :P :P :P
