Anyone in this area,  who has followed football in this area for many years, knows La Marque's reputation, which, shall I say, is not very good.  They are NOT known for their sportsmanship.  This goes back for many years. I have witnessed Ozen firsthand for many years, in HEATED games with us.  I can say I have not witnessed anything resembling something like this.  Ozen battles in the game and they have always been good sports to Nederland.  Talking is part of any football game.  I have not seen them take CHEAP SHOTS at players. It will be to the credit of the coaches and school district how they handle this, going forward.

NEITHER LM or OZEN should move on in the next round of playoffs    . (period) UIL should deal quickly and make this an example of WHAT NOT TO DO at sports events. NEITHER LM or OZEN showed SPORTSMANSHIP, whether who started it or not, that simply doesn't matter.  They both acted and reacted, and both were using their EQUIPMENT (that is to be used in the field of play) as WEAPONS.  Shame on them!!! Cops are not the issue, if that had been one of my sons, COPS would have been the least of their problems. My suggestion to UIL is that the next round team who would have played this winner gets a bye.  Make a strong statement that this NOT acceptable, no matter the cost. I SAW firsthand in the NEDERLAND game last night, late hits by the other team, shots to our players head after plays.  THE TRASH before the game by PDawson was disgraceful and their coach is responsible for their lack of respect and discipline.  Good ridance to them, they were not the BETTER TEAM last night. Sometimes, LOSING shows more of who are, WINNING just proves it!!!

We know all about Braggin Rights here in Nederland.... We got them this year..... Against the NDNs, thus far.... Go Bulldogs!!!!

They used to use EMPTY freon cans, put ball bearings that you shoot in sling shots in 'em.  Seal the hole.  Easier and less effort and loud -  is EMPTY Gatorade Bottles hand full of pennies.  You could try the ball bearings in the Gatorade bottles.  They might be just as effective.  Gatorade bottles are thicker than water bottles, water bottles work just not as loud. Cow bells are good and loud, too. Be NEDERLAND LOUD!!!!!!  Bring da noise and let's rattle their cage.  Tell everyone whose coming to the game Saturday. The Dogs deserve our support!!!! Go Bulldogs!!!!!!!

Dawson is solid all around.  They are not unbeatable.  Manvel and La Marque proved this.  Noticed... the run up the middle can be poorly defensed by them.  Manvel used quick screens, runs up the middle, misdirection and a shots up the field to beat Dawson.  It looks like on FILM, if you get their defense confused, they are not that dominant. I think IF we get predictable series after series on O, this could be a mis-step.  We need to take advantage of their short comings (every team has 'em, if you study them).  Also, it looks that they are slow to get ready on defense.  Up tempo, may help us. Defense clicking on all cylinders, Offense - game of the season.  Turnover, special teams battle won =  Dogs Win! Be NEDERLAND LOUD at this one!!!!!!!!!!!!!

La Marque vs Dawson [Hidden Content] Run up the middle seems to be their defensive weakness.  Watched some of Manvel vs Dawson game.  Manvel ran the ball all over them. Our secondary will need to physical vs their receivers. Dogs can do this!  Run them out of their cage.  Go Bulldogs!!!!

I have confidence in the Bulldogs on both side of the ball.  Offensively and defensively.  Their record speaks for itself.  Of course, every thing we can do makes a difference.  How many timeouts and false starts did the FANS cause in that Friendswood game a few years back? As I recall, we won that game and sent home an [s]undefeated team[/s], I mean, the Friendswood team.  Back then, the FANS knew when to make noise and NOT.  I guess that generation of fan's kids have all have graduated.  There are few still around who know FOOTBALL 101 in Nederland.  Just trying to pass down some knowledge to those younger fans.  Go Bulldogs!!!! Beat those Eagles!  Bring da noise to GP!!!  For the DOGS!!!!!

Anyone remember a few years back when we played Friendswood at Rice Stadium?  We brought the noise early and on every play for our Defense.  We disrupted their QB (who was quiet good).  Also, note the 25 Second Clock.  Once it starts to tick when they are on offense, we need to start making noise then, and keep it going until play is snapped.  No one is unbeatable.  We can disrupt their Offense and see how they respond. Tell everyone you know to bring whatever noise makers they have.  We need to rock the house for the Dogs.  Let's rattle their cage. We can do everything we can to help our Offense by remaining quiet.  Of course, this a free country and some may choose otherwise.  This was just an observation. Go Bulldogs!  I would take a Bulldog to a fight over an eagle any day.

Football players know this.  At the games, former players are not the ones making noise when we are on offense. Apparently, we could help them in not being ignorant.  Just information for those who don't know. Go Dogs!

Thanks for the Ticket Info. Note:  TO ALL NEDERLAND  FANS,  you are to remain quiet while Nederland is on offense.  I have noticed the fans get loud when we have the ball in a big play.  It is HELPFUL to our offense to be quiet and let them get the play off effectively. YOU ARE to make NOISE when we are on DEFENSE - even on EVERY PLAY (not just 3rd downs).  This upsets the opponent's offense.  The Band does great to play and make noise while the OTHER team is on Offense.  Great Job Band! Make some NOISE this week, just at the right times!!!  On that note, Bring BACK any noise makers- Bells, Shaker Cans, Anything Noise Makers you Have this week.  We need to be NEDERLAND LOUD at this one! Go Dogs Go!!!

Kimble #9 for PD is a dual threat, great passing game, solid running, very athletic.  Secondary will be tested against PD offense unlike any test they have faced all year. Also, defense for PD tends to pick off other's passing games.  Accuracy is a must against PD for the Dawgs! This will be huge test for Dawgs.  Must bring A game next week.
