Sterling was about 200 kids shy of moving to 4a while lee had room for 500-600 more kids while staying 4a. Doesnt make sense.
REL was the southern most school in the current 19-4A alignment. The UIL looked to replace Manvel and there was REL as the "best" fit geographicaly. GCM must go where REL goes. In two years the only thing that would change that is if GCM has 5A numbers (or possibly RSS has 4A numbers. Not happening). The UIL has said you cannot have 3 classifications in a school district. SO, even if REL drops to 3A numbers, GCM must have some growth or RSS must drop in enrollment. If not, REL will have to play 4A with 3A numbers.
Doesn't HISD have 5A, 4A and now 3A schools?
Yes, reality will soon hit some of you 3-A basketball.
 2.

But the problem with taking that many from 1A is a great number of 1A's do not play football. You deplete their numbers and you will have many more schools having to travel much more for district ball games. Also, 150 in the top two classifications will make for more travel.
I understand but, you are still left with 330 1A schools that play basketball.  I don't know how many of those play football but, I am guessing you could still work things out football wise out of 330 schools. Travel is already an issue at 5A and will always be an issue in region 1. My point is....a school of 450 competing against a school of 1004 is a heck of a lot different than a school of 2500 competing against a school of 5000. Kind of like the difference between a 35 year old dating a 25 year old and a 25 year old dating a 15 year old.  The age difference is numerically the same but, that is where the similarities end. They could keep the 300 schools 5A for all I care.
Actually, way back in our ancestor days, a 25 year old marrying a 15 year old was no big deal. They worked it out just fine ;)

 8.
What if the top 12 players in SE Tx transferred to one school.  How would they compete with Yates?
To really answer your question. The top 12 players from S.E.Texas could not compete with Yates, Flower Mound, and I could think of a couple more. Now, those 12 could compete with Furr, Waltrip, probably Jones, and maybe one or two schools in the Ft. Bend County school area.
 9. Look, here is the problem. Until Nederland wins a regional title, they will not be taken seriously.  :D
 10. We should really feel bad. BmtSoulja, its your fault. You convinced me not worth the drive to see a 60 minute game.

I remember a game last year, that you said my Tigers couldn't win. No they didn't win it but only because the last spot just wouldnt fall.  You said out was lack of focus by GBall, it only takes one night for that to happen and that last shot to happen to fall.
OMG! Back on that game again, huh? Let me say it in a different way. Ball did not take Silsbee as serious as Silsbee took Ball. And as I predicted, Ball won as expected. They played *down* that game.
