In the past 4 years Huffman has not come out on top. yes Huffman has had a good team the past 2 years, but still not enough to win the district. you also have yourself placed with Coldspring and everyone under you are scrubs, in the past 4 years you are 2-2 with one of the scrubs. Cleveland has struggled the past couple of years, but they are building don't count them out.
I don't consider Cleveland a perennial scrub. Yeah yall have had some struggle recently and I'm still shocked at how yall dropped of in 2010. Idk if that was because of the new coach or what, but it was very surprising. I don't think Cleveland will continue to get blownout by Huffman and CS, especially next year when all your young starters from last year will be seniors. The only reason I said teams were scrubs is because some guy said Huffman was a scrub compared to other teams. So I said if thats true, then the teams that get blownout by Huffman are the scrubs of a scrub.
 2.
I find it interesting you pulled a link on Pryor that was over a year old. Why don't you look up Pryor's NCSA profile like you did on Couron. I believe you will find that 275 and 5.0 you're looking for. As far as Washington, he weighed 275 yesterday and is as fast as Couron. Boy, it makes we wonder how some people can even make it through a day.
Well because  NCSA is something you fill out yourself. The under armor link was the first that popped up, but I would never use NCSA to back my argument if there are other more reliable links. So I'm going to stick with under armor and ESPN Here's his ESPN profile. [Hidden Content] He added the weight ,but he sure aight running sub 5. But if he really is all that you say, then what scholarship offers does he have?
 3.
Unless Brock Pryor tried the Jenny Craig diet this summer he is nowhere near 250.He is more like 270 plus.Couron is the only undersized defensive lineman and is picked to be the pre-season defensive MVP for 20-4a.  He is also the fastest D-Lineman.These monsters are backed up by two line-backers that weigh over 205 a piece.Jordan Wood was the only unanimous defensive first-team selection as a sophmore and was the 20-4a pre-season defensive MVP selection last year.Korbin Stampley was a first -team all district selection last year and a real "Man-Eater".Both of them run about 4.8 or faster.Kids get bigger during the summer and I have seen both of these linebackers weigh this summer. All I can say is come see for yourself . I bet Nederland has the biggest front six in 4-A for the state of Texas.
I wouldn't go that far, but I'm not doubting that they're defense is good. I know they are, but people don't have to make stuff up. Some guy said the D line avreages 270 and they all run sub 5 40s, that is hard to believe. It's like last year when some guy from WOS tried to say they have 5 or 6 guys that run 4.4 or lower. Some people just like to boost the truth.
 4.
Dude, I hope you realize some of the links you provided are over a year old. These boy's have grown and gotten faster since 2011. if you choose to argue over your ignorance than I can't argue with that. I find it hilarious you choose to dispute facts about a team which you know nothing about. Apparently, you are either concerned or just plain foolish. Either way, I believe we're wasting space on a subject that your determined to prove me wrong, with your outdated links, yet know very little about. All I know is the current combination as on yesterday morning. 242-275-293-275. Keep digging dude I'm sure you will find some current links on these boys, for I know all four are working to get noticed.
So you're seriously going to tell me that Brock Pryor added 20 pounds and dropped his 40 time .3 seconds and The 290 kid dropped his 40 time .37 seconds in 1 year? Like I said before I seriously doubt you're D line doesn't average 270 and run a sub 5. If these guys are such amazing physical specimen then what colleges are offering the scholarships?
 5.
Perhaps you're missing my point. Put up against other teams huff and cs are scrubs. Prairie View has long been viewed as garbage, but if you put them up against lesser competition they're no longer scrubs. It all comes down to this, unless you're at the top, you're at the bottom. Trashing schools below you doesn't change that fact. At the end of the day, you're all still at the bottom.
I agree against Katy CS and Huffman are scrubs, but the other schools in our district are the scrubs of scrubs then. Both CS and Huffman are in the top 40 for the start of the year, but according to your logic I guess there is only one good team and everyone else is a scrub ::)
 6. Brock Pryor 250 5.31 40 [Hidden Content] Koby Couron 235 4.83 [Hidden Content] Caleb Malveneaux 291 5.37 [Hidden Content] So unless washington weighs 300 pounds amd runs a 4.5 then your line is not adding up to 270 and sub 5.
 7.
Sorry Friend. Hugh misprint by DCTF. He was only 100 lbs off on Pryor, who actually weighs 275. He didn't even list our other starting DT(last years newcomer of the year) who weighed in yesterday at 293. Johnson at 225 is a backup. yesterday our 4 returning starters weighed 242, 275, 293, 275. You do the math. If none of these guys run sub 5 40's than I guess all those college camps they have been show-casing, at this summer, must not know how to use a stopwatch. As the old saying goes, don't believe everything you read.
Believe what you want to, but we'll see when they release the roster ;). My  bet is they dont average 270. Oh and I don't believe everything I read, I don't believe you. P.S. They did list the other DT, but did not have a weight for him.
 8.
I suppose you do have a point, being that both huffman an coldspring are FULL of parade all-Americans. Outside of that district only coldspring would still be competitive as it stands now. Not exactly the La Marque, Aledo's of the world. However, I still don't believe in calling these children scrubs. To each his own, thoughts become words, words become actions, actions become character.
Nope not full of all-americans, but Huffman and Coldspring blowout every other team in the district. There is a huge drop off after after CS and Huffman whether you want to recognize it or not. Huffman is very competitive outside of district. We are 8-4 the last 2 years out of district and those 4 losses came at the hands of Kingwood Park (4a) and Navasota (one of the top 3a teams in the state). No we haven't done what CS has done but we've done alright.
 9.
I suppose after playing WOS and Dayton in scrimmages Nederland might be ready for the 4.64 speed the twins will bring. The real question is how will the twins hold up to the DLine that averages 270 lbs and motors between 4.8 - 5.0. Not to mention a couple salty linebackers that will flat take your head off. I also like the addition of a 6'2" 185 lb redshirt safety whose hits will make the likes of Ronnie Lott and Steve Atwater proud. Think I'm fooling? Just pass the ball over the middle and take your chances. This kid is plain crazy. I expect Crosby and the twins will be very competitive with any team they play. One thing is for sure, they will be feeling it against Ned's D. Good Luck and stay healthy
I seriously doubt your D line averages 270 and runs a sub 5 40. Here's what DCTF says: DE Koby Couron (6-3 235 4.9) DL Brock Pryor (6-1 180 5.1) DE Deshawn Washington ( 6-3 265 4.9) ;DE Jared Johnson (6-2 225 4.9).
 10.

Here is the true preview: Huffman chasing Coldspring for the district title. The rest of scrubs will battle for the 3rd spot in the playoffs and a corresponding first round exit.
bashing minors huh? classy.
It's not bashing if it's true ;)
 11.
89Falcon - I was going to say a few words to you, but it really isn't worth getting into it with a group of people who think they are better than everyone else. Sure hope it doesn't rain soon.
We are just going of what recent history has taught us. The only team in the district that will compete with CS is Huffman, all the other teams aren't even in the conversation.
 12.
They got rid of baseball and softball, but kept some of this other crap?? Dressage- Go ahead a google it, because I'm sure none of you know what it is.  This horse training event has a 71 yr old from Japan competing.  His 1st Olympics was in 1964! Anything "synchronized"  and where "style points" are awarded. Dancing with the little ribbon thingy and the ball BB gun-  A lady that is 8 months pregnant is an Olympic athlete?
I agree with you on dressage. They actually had that on TV the other day, I can't believe that is considered a sport. IMO the worst olympic sport is curling. It takes very little skill. All you do is slide stones on ice and then sweep the ice. Once my baseball career is over I'm gonna take up curling. I figure it might take me a week to get ready for the next olympics. ;) ;D Also can't believe trampoline is a sport now.
 13.
Why has baseball been voted down as an olympic sport and badminton/hand ball/10M pellet gun shooting are considered olympic sports? Someone please explain to me why baseball got the axe? Lots of countries it is the #2 sport of choice.
The IOC cut baseball for two reasons. The first is because the IOC was mad that MLB did not allow their players to compete at the olympics. The second is that baseball has practically no presence in Europe, which is where the HQ of the IOC is. People in Europe don't understand or view baseball positively so it's easy for them to vote it out.
 14.
Other local teams that filled out the top 50 poll: #27  Silsbee #32  Bridge City #36  Huffman #41  Jasper
Really ??? Bridge City and Silsbee ahead of Huffman lol. Bridge City and their 5 returning starters will struggle to even make the playoffs. I guess Huffman beating Silsbee 2 years in a row plus their 15 returning starters don't mean very much to these people either. I though DCTF was a joke, but FNF is worse. Carthage ahead of Stephenville and La Marque? Coldspring all the way down at #21 despite reaching atleast the semi-finals 2 years straight and returning 15 starters?
 15.
I'm guessing LP is Liberty? What is the reason for their sudden poll jumping?
LP is La Porte. Liberty wouldn't crack the top 20 in the 2A and below poll.
 16. Coldspring LP Pam WOS Nederland Note: this is not based on who would win in a head to head match up. It is based on each teams performance in their respective classifications
 17.
Perfect example of banditos operating procedure, posted on twitter just a few min ago: Bandito Baseball‏@BanditoBaseball Looking for a few gamers to go to PG WS in Az. In 2 weeks and Jupitar in OCT Call me 713 819 XXXX Thats not developing talent, thats buying it for high profile national tourneys for your own benefit. Banditos are in it for their own $$$$, one of the coaches I know that over there told me he makes $2500-3500 a week from lessons and coaching a team. In my opinion these guys have way too many teams that fund their pockets and then use that extra cash to buy (pay for, Ie recruit) the best players from all over to show up to national tourneys to get the pub to rake in more teams and cash. If you look at their rosters, they have a northeast, southwest, north, texas, houston etc blue black white, about anything they can call a team most of which are just there to pay for the one elite teams recruiting. I guess people are willing to pay it to wear the hat to act like they had something to do with the elite team winning. Its sick.
The Banditos develop plenty of talent. Cory Gieser, CJ Hinojosa, Austin Dean, Courtney Hawkins, Nick Williams, Cody Poteet, and Jovanni Hernandez have all played for them for years some have been there since they were 12 and 13. There is a reason that almost every year the Banditos have some of the best 12 and 13 year old teams in the country. A couple years ago they had a 13u team that won 155 games in a row. All those kids stay in the Bandito's program as they get older. So what if they have a bunch of different teams from all over the state? They do that so kids all over the state have the opportunity to play for an elite program, and get college and pro looks. Just look at how many kids from the 2012 class that are going to play D1 ball. There are 28 of them by the way. why would you not want to play for a program like that? [Hidden Content] The main team the Banditos black is made up of almost all Houston kids with 1 kid out of state. How is that any different than the Sun Devils that have kids from Louisiana, Texas, Oklahoma, and other places? I think someone is just jealous of the Banditos ;)
 18.
Clemens jumped ship to the banditos for some reason. Petitte is on heat black who didn't make it to the playoff round. The silver with biggio lost to banditos in final 8. Angels had bad first inning and also fell to banditos in semis. Banditos won it all, my least favorite Houston team....they tend to hire guns to come into tourneys where heat and angels are local kids. Regardless just goes to show that baseball in Houston is the best in the country.
Don't hate on the Banditos. I played for them back in my high school days 8). [Hidden Content] Here is the roster for the Banditos team. There are 30 kids on the team, 25 of them are from the Houston area.

 21.
I wonder what they gained? It was his last year anyway.
Here is what I found on another site. "Matt Dominguez, 3B: Dominguez was drafted by the Marlins in the first round in 2007, from high school in Chatsworth, California. Age 22, he is renowned for his excellent defensive ability at third base, where he has the range, hands, and arm strength to be a Gold Glove winner. Unfortunately, he has been disappointing with the bat, hitting just .247/.302/.396 in 165 games of Triple-A over the last year and a half, showing power at times, but frustrating scouts with his inability to make adjustments. He is still young enough to improve and perhaps the change of scenery will unlock his ability" He is ranked as the Marlins 2nd best prospect. "Rob Rasmussen, LHP: Rasmussen was drafted in the second round in 2010, out of UCLA. He is pitching in the High-A Florida State League this year at age 23, posting a 3.90 ERA with a 75/36 K/BB in 88 innings with 83 hits allowed. Rasmussen is undersized at 5-9, 160, but he has good arm strength and works in the low-90s, mixing in a curve, slider, and changeup. Rasmussen threw strikes in college but has had mixed results as a pro, and has not dominated the lower levels of the farm system. He could be a fifth starter but is more probably a reliever in the long run". He is the Marlins 9th ranked prospect. Domiguez will got straight to the Astros, while Rassmussen will report to AA Corpus.
