The Pirates have been told one time to not score and that was in the Vidor/Central game last year. It was the Friday after the unexpected loss of Matt Thomas #28. Our score at the time was 28 and there was less than two minutes of play time left and Central had to kick the ball to us. Mathews told those boys, If you get the ball and make a run for it, whatever you do, do not score. Needless to say, the score ended with us having 28 points.

As much as I love PNG football,  this entire year has been difficult to watch, and I don't fault folks for not coming,  or leaving early.  But let's face it,  people love to find anything they can to dog PNG for,  and that's only because we have a history of coming out on top most of the time.  That's fine.  But every team has the same issues.  That's what I was pointing out. [/quote]Agreed... [/quote] I completely agree, all teams have some obnoxious fans. Last night there was a guy about 4 or 5 rows behind us that had been yelling stupid stuff all night. At one point it was 28-0 and he felt as if a PF flag should have been thrown against PNG. He wasn't letting it go, so I stood up, turned around and said, my god what more do you want?!? It's 28-0 for Christ sake!! Later in the 3rd, PNG was in TD range and there was a hard hit on PNGs QB. He started yelling again, I was pissed by that point, I spun around so fast and said some things to him. Needless to say, I never heard his loud mouth after that......

LOL 2 mins into it she was fine. The wind was brutal last night and it was to our backs so I know it was very brutal coming at y'all's face. I don't blame anybody for leaving, I actually to my pic because a friend of mine from PNG asked me to send her a pic. When I saw PNG's players walk out I thought good god some of these boys are huge! Every team has some rebuilding years, we've all been there. Hoping you guys have a much better season next year, down times suck.

However, it was odd knowing how well PNG typically supports their team, start leaving when the lights came on. It was a steady flow of purple and white leaving the stands.
