Was Austin Farias before. But the teams around Austin were not as good, so he had to be “the guy” for a lot longer. So the fact that Jaden did it with as many good teammates as he has had makes it even more impressive to me.

OF doing a good job getting out in transition. Did have several turnovers trying to do a little too much, but I think that’s how they win this game is in transition

I truly don’t understand not wanting to play in one of the nicest high school facilities in the state for this game.

The officials were very good and very consistent. I think the problem here was that they approached this game with a “they need to adjust to the way I am calling” rather than a calling the obvious. When OF did attack the rim they did get the same calls, but I also think that OF played much better help defense and the helper was generally who the foul was called on. Fairfield also did a lot of Iso ball and took bad shots when the help was there and I do think that rather than adjusting to the game in front of them, they called extremely tight the entire night. It’s not very often you see a varsity boys game get to the bonus every single quarter (at least in my opinion)

Fairfield’s approach is the same as Mexia’s. No ball movement, one guy dribbles in to the paint throws it up, and hopes for a foul. so far it’s working for them to keep them in the game
