I watched the Morse kid and he can flat out play and he's under a 5.0 40, or maybe he just has tremendous game speed and ran the 5.3 at practice.  The kid has IT.

Finished as the all-time leading passer in school history, probably has the most wins as well, that would have to be verified, but likely a fact.

This is a ridiculous rumor, need shut this down, it's unfounded and has no merit at this point.

Most wins against an athletic team wind up being ugly wins, just the way it is.  Definitely something to build on.

So long as that QB plays, they could have me out there running routes and they'd win.  THat kid would throw it at my helmet and stick it in my face mask, I'd fall down for a first down and we'd do it again.  Kid is something else.

I know nothing, I don't have an ego, but it's not like all-district picks need a 2/3rds vote congress to do it differently?  The all-district picks by the coaches are listed, there in black and white, I guess they decided how they would present their picks.  To my knowledge their are no published rules for how to select all-district picks, he was the best football player in the district, no matter where you put him on offense/defense/special teams whatever, the kid was just good.  I know your just raising a point of how it used to be in the past, but there also used to be 1 team make the playoffs.  I'm saying it really doesn't matter in my opinion, maybe it does to you, so maybe someone else can answer why the changed the procedures on how it was done back in the day.

Now Jack, surely someone wouldn't be so BLATANTLY STUPID as to go accusing a team of having a 5A enrollment and a 5A team... and then the team they represent actually has more kids to choose from than the team they are bashing??? Was absolutely the most boring game of the year for Nederland.

Then welcome them to the team, hell, beg them to come play, you need that kind of nasty.  Like I said, winning basketball games is about more than pretty jumpshots, you gotta bang too.  Sorry they don't play AAU ball, maybe you shouldn't let them on the team for that.  This kind of attitude, "they don't put in the time in the summer" is not what we need in Nederland.  Sorry, but we don't have enough lights out straight basketball playing athletes to not Welcome them no basketball skill football kids.  Just my opinion.  We used to have a LOT of very good football / basketball players... Englishs' brother was one of em, so don't give me the you gotta play year round basketball line, that's NOT true.

P White takes the reigns.  Seay will likely go both ways as Kimler did this year.  Can you imagine trying to cover Kimler and Seay running routes.  White has a good arm and will prove to be effective enough behind that line and running play action off those fakes to Hopkins.  That's a recipe for success.

Nederland could have another undefeated district season.  It's getting contagious and expected in Nederland... plus this group has some seriously talented kids coming back even though they lost a lot.  When you return 4 starting o-lineman, your starting fullback and a 1500 yard tailback, the best two defensive lineman in the district next year, two of the best safeties in Kimler and Seay, the areas best kicker, and a kid I predict to be a huge game changer in J. Johnson... please argue with me.  That's not even mentioning Barton and Mayfield who will be significant performers and Krautz, Butler, Bordelon.... won't be a wasted ticket in Nederland.

Big Show, if all those football boys can do is rebound, why would they help.  Evidently that don't count as basketball skills?  Why would these football guys touch the floor if they have no basketball skills?  There's a lot more to basketball than a pretty jumpshot...

These are the players returning: Starters: Malveaux, Washington, Seay, C. Brown, Kimler, Hopkins, Brinkley, Albritton, Dial, Noel (all but a couple of these will be some of the best players in the area. Kids who started and made strong contributions at some point: Barton, J. Johnson, B Stewart, #14, can't remember his name, Holman... there may be more, but these are the ones I remember. J. Johnson will be another Washington type player after a year of offseason.  We also get Leon Mayfield back after his knee injury recovery.  This is without plugging in any of the freshman/JV group.  Nederland's cupboard is far from bare next year.

Hey, would you guys mind passing your posts onto next week's opponent to save them the time of typing.  We been hearing this for about 6 weeks now... broken record... we'll just keep boring teams into submission with our UNIMPRESSIVE play.  Ol Herman Boone said it best, like Novacane, give it time and it always works.

Have a really hard time believing Neumann "had" to play on turf... I don't think he wanted to play anyone specifically on a faster track.  Nasty ol mangled up grass would suit that Nederland team just fine.  All the same, we will pack that place and get wild like last week.  Dogs on a mission, gonna take a special effort to win keep them Dogs from their goal.

I can't pin a berth in the state championship game this year on how successful Neuman and his staff have been.  They have already proven that they are among the State's best coaching staff's, they don't have to win it all to prove that to me or to anyone else.  To do what they have done for as long as they've done it, just tip you cap and say job well done.  The outcome of Saturday's game doesn't diminish how good they are.  I would also like to caution that we are just half way to Dallas.  This has been the goal of this group since they got bounced last year.  They knew this was at their fingertips, but it's one bad break away from being over, so we can't dwell on that, just enjoy what is. We have also been very fortunate this year, I'm not going to talk about it or we may not continue being so blessed, but I think most know what I mean.

Save that voice for defense and let er rip.  I have no doubt that the Nederland crowd disrupted the PD offense... of course that dline had a little to do with it as well, I'd be flinching too.  But you are right, on Defense, don't wait for 3rd down, gotta be loud, on every defensive snap.  No matter the momentum, our kids can make a play to turn the game at any moment.

I think at this point we need to let this rest, the guy didn't say the perfect words after getting his butt kicked, it's not that big of a deal.  It kind of make Nederland look like we're begging for respect. I could care less what the opposing coach says after we win, I do care how Neumann handles himself because he represents us and has always done so with EXTREME class. I don't care what the other guy says in representing his school.  We know what we have, we know what we did, I couldn't give a rats xxxx about anything else.  GTown, that is all right now.  Lock this thread!
