I don't doubt Coach Joubert coaching ability in the least. I do wonder sometimes if being the head coach of two sports may hurt the development of some of the basketball players. That's a tall order for one person.

I would give the Big Sandy club the edge if comparing them to this years Shelbyville club . Both could really go but the Big Sandy club that years shooting was unreal. -
Kountze will be in the hunt for a playoff spot. It will be the 4th spot I think and by Kountze standards that's a very down year. Duane will get what they have to give and by the time district rolls they will be better.

I would have probably taken him first but I'm kinda new to this You're right about the team being unselfish, they were a lot of fun to watch. -

Kid from Big Sandy that year put on one of the best shooting exhibitions I've ever seen. I think his name was Angel. -
As he should be

I'm not sure but I think we probably met years ago when Coach Hand was in this part of the country. -

Everyone schedules games they know they can win. There is nothing wrong with that, on the other hand scheduling a private school with an enrollment of 25 probably doesn't do anyone much good. It's been years since I saw Hardin play basketball but the last time I did they were very respectable. -

I go to the Big Sandy tournament and the EC tournament every year as well. Went to every Lamar game for years. Throw in the regional high school and state high school tournaments and you got me. I'm a basketball junkie. I even have an all tournament team scribbled out on the front of my tournament program but they never ask for my opinion -

High school basketball is all about matchups. Vidor doesn't have a bad club but they don't matchup well with Shelbyville. That's not a knock on Vidor. -

Yes #5 was the little guard who made the engine go. #15 and #24 were legit as well -

No disrespect intended toward Vidor but I watched Shelbyville three times in this tournament and I've seen Vidor before and during the tournament and Shelbyville would match up very well against the pirates. Vidor doesn't have a dominant big Post presence so IMO Shelbyville would be better at every position.#24 was solid on the block for Shelbyville, #15 was a little different looking player but at the end of the game I'd look and he filled it up from behind the arc and could create and score on his own. I can't remember the number of the guard that was most impressive it was either #3 or #5 I believe both could play. They could easily win this region. -

The kid has nice game all the way around. He hit a three at the halftime buzzer to push the lead to 7. HJ came out cold in the 3rd only scoring 5 and Hefner found his stroke. -

Until recently I've never heard of delaying a football game because of rain. I understand the lightning delays but you tee it up and play it in the rain.
