Going to be very interesting see PNG, Crosby, and BH Duke it out... I can easily seeing it be PNG beating BH, BH beating Crosby, Crosby beating PNG. Throwing into a 3 way tie... I don’t see anyone in the district going undefeated this year unless a illegal iPad use is involved 👀👀😂

Which makes me think the Alamodome could possibly be the home of the state championship games for football... if they can find a way to issue tickets via like only sold at the schools playing and X amount tickets allowed. Student athletes first dibs on them

No tourneys but will host state tourney.. very head scratching choice..

Very interesting to see the spilt, many things are going to be screwed up from this... I wonder with school districts that have smaller and big schools what happens then... small school playoffs will be flipping for home games because the 5A/6A will still be playing mainly through there playoffs... I wonder what this does to spring sports and basketball.

Well MCM is at the doghouse this year... guess 50% capacity limited to only Nederland fans, no PNG fans allowed into the stadium 👀👀👀💀

If that’s what happens it will kill all fall sports without a doubt. Spring took the hit last year, 2 years of no springs sports is a huge...

4A and below would struggle to make it work.

Okay question, I’m just curious as to it but, all these school districts that have shut down til Sept with no athletics... in the state of Texas UIL teams. Have more said they are shutting down with no athletics vs Schools that are still scheduled to start on time?

Tyler ISD should just combine both high schools into 1 single High school.... but hopefully at least 1 high sxhool should be either Yellow Rose High School/ Rose Capital High School.

Make it 10 PA memorial vs Lancaster

I know, I hate even talking about it... but that’s the nature of the beast and something that UIL has to take into consideration...

All I have to say is TAPPS and if UIL follows the same better hope a hurricane/tropical storm doesn’t come and disrupt anything. We tend to get the major hurricanes in September/October...

UIL just a year or two ago was trying to see how they could move baseball championship games up a week.. most kids play travel ball in the summer and you will be eliminating that from them if July baseball championship games... plus most kids in baseball get their scholarship offers in select baseball due to the elite tournaments and exposure. You will also have football coaches very mad that their star players can’t work out in strength and conditioning program because there is baseball season still in July with football season starting in August... So no football camps for college exposure as well and 7 on 7 for these baseball kids that play football... a kid say a junior right now starts playing in September, has a deep playoff run into January, baseball season starts up in February plays all the way to July and bam 2 weeks later football season again for 2021... come on spring sports took a hit last year. You can’t further delay spring sports to accommodate football. Football needs to sacrifice hate to say it, and that small sacrifice would be 2 playoff teams.

Why wouldn’t they? If they keep 4 playoff teams they will have the state championship games at end of January... it puts a huge delay in basketball, track, and soccer. They already have a shortage of referees like talked about earlier as well coaches that coach 2 sports... if you roll with 4 teams and keep basketball the same start date, you won’t see kids that play football first join the team well into district play... 2 playoff teams is a must if follow the tapps.

Cut the playoffs down to only 2 teams..

It’s going to be extremely hard for these school districts to hire more coaches when they have a unexpected cost to sanitize everything down, hire more custodians and etc to keep the non athletes safe for learning... plus school districts to hire more coaches Sounds great on paper, But where would all these coaches and teachers come from...? There is already a teacher shortage in this state let alone in this country...
