  1. Gosh, I did not know that Jasper had already won the State Championship--good for Jasper--guess we will all cancel our games and just go fishing in the bayou.    LOL   ;D
  2. ETBU...I see you "deleted" your pointed message to-- Bobcat 55-- and that is quite regal of you!....  I too can handled his new attack upon me. I attended the OF vs Rudder game in Nacogdoches and sat with many OF friends and pulled for the Bobcats as usual-- if they are not playing my team...I attended even OF 6 man football games when I was in grade school; and have supported them all they way into the future.  I trust that this one person cannot collapse my long friendships with many folks & friends at OF. ETBU, lets get together for a moment at the playoff game(as we most always do) and visit.
  3. Should be a set of good games next weekend.  I have seen WO-S, OF and BC a number of times this season and look forward to seeing Huffman play.  Their Huffman team was at the game when BC played Taylor. Seemed to be a polite an very nice group of young men! ETBU,  forgive OFs--Bobcat 55--you have to remember they have never had a moment-in-the-sun like this season. LOL  All their stars have finally aligned this one time; but I will give them credit they are loaded with Seniors that can play ball.  They really dominated Bryan Rudder who strutted in with a whole club team of Select players grouped at a brand new school by the parents. Also congrats to the Falcon Softball team on their win this weekend--looks like the State Championship might be decided between Splendora vs Huffman coming up soon.  :o
  4. Amazing story, A young Lady that had to play first base and bunt every time in HS; evolves into an All American Shortstop in college!
  5. I think that Bryan Rudder has had a fantastic first season with all those real young underclassmen. However OF has the most Seniors of any team in the 3A playoffs that I can find. I look for the Bobcats to dominate this team in the same manner that Bridge City swamped Coldspring in those two games. Go 21-3A, we want a Region III Championship played over at Lamar University!    ;D
  6. The exit off I 45 sign says Rayford-Sawdust......I believe it is # 22. Anyone staying there also?
  7. Corner of Sawdust & I 45....near the High School Oak Ridge H.S.----there is a Holiday Inn Express.  It has reasonable rates.  Most of the motels around Woodlands and East Conroe are booked for Friday night--some big to-do. Hope this helps......
  8. As a hopefully objective outsider just there to observe a local game, I was impressed at the improvement of the 'Stangs.  The third baseman will make a great college shortstop someday: he exhibits all the components!  In fact, the second baseman and first baseman also look like college prospects. If Zane Anderson has a good night against Orangefield coming up: they have the coaching moxie and team skill to institute a major upset in Region III bracket play.
  9. I was given info that OF scored three runs late and pulled out a win 8-7 Someone please confirm........
  10. Can someone supply an address that can be used to enter on the GPS?   In order to miss the Hwy work on Beltway 8.... we might want to come up HWY 1960 and then set the GPS to get over to the baseball field..... or use Hwy 90 to get close. Thank you in advance!
  11. BC & OF have to take these games one at a time to advance. But I can't help but hope that since they are on different sides of the bracket that they can some how end up playing--way up there--for the Region III Championship.  You may see this as an silly vision: but personally, I think it will take very fine teams to take these two teams out. BCs Sophomores will have to mature just a bit more to beat OF--I expect it to come down to the wire if these two prime teams make it deep enough to play again. Just looking at the Bracket set-up; both teams will be really tested by some- tusale-hawgs-type teams to possibly arrive at a Finalist re-match.

  14. I see that Bryan Rudder was to play Lufkin Hudson this past saturday in a warm up game but as yet have not found a score for that event.  Any news on who these assorted teams have played in warm-ups? OK, I found the score.......... Rudder 10    Lufkin Hudson 5 on the warm-up.
  15. I see in the bracket arrangements that if BC gets by Coldspring they take on Taylor 1st team in 24-3A.  Likewise, OF gets the second place team in 24-3A Bryan Rudder. Does anyone have access to information on this District and the teams' records, etc:  ?
  16. WOW. two excellent teams that will maybe meet again on up the playoff bracket ladder. I think the final result in this next game will again be-- who gets the most HRs.
  17. Mitch Hubbard is remarkable this season.
  18. What is the origin of bleachers as in baseball? Bleachers are found in the roofless area outside of left, right, and center fields in most baseball stadiums. They got this name from the fact that because they were exposed to the sun and all forms of weather and they became 'bleached'. The word bleachers is an Americanism that appeared in 1889 in the Chicago Tribune newspaper. Bleach means 'to make white' and is derived from a Germanic word bleichen. The word bleachers has come to mean similar seating in other arenas, such as a gymnasium ;D
  19. Congrats! Those 3 timely home runs were really something.
  20. It should be one great game!  Winner should move to#1 in State, since Jasper lost.  Although BC is heavy on Sophomores I will guess they are strong enough to overcome the OF brace of Seniors. Just guessing a fairly close game for 4 innings.......  Of course we all know that everyone of us is just guessing at this point.    ;D
  21. I just have a feeling BC will pitch Hayden(the Freshman) tonight
  22. Thanks for the info----Hayden Guidry(Freshman) & Carpenter(Sophomore) that are Pitching for BC can hold their own against the older Uth! Oh, I see Mitch Hubbard a lefty Sophomore is now pitching for BC....What an opportunity for these Uth to pitch against a good solid 4A team!
  23. It would be quite interesting to see the HRs AFTER District play started?
  24. Who are the Pitchers; thus far. for both teams?  # of Hits, etc? Thanks!
