  1. Awesome job guys. I knew you could do it. Got any stats yet? At least how many Letsinger finished with.
  2. Looking great so far. Gotta keep that intensity up for another half. Keep it up guys!
  3. Will anyone be sending updates to Cooper for this game???
  4. I’m not so sure I’m going to trust your knowledge of anyone in this area. On Jan. 25 you had this to say about Coach Henry of Lumberton: Ranked him as one of the top 5 in the area. And then you say 10 days later he should be fired??? Do you even have a clue about what you’re talking about?
  5. Letsinger and Copeland have both played AAU ball in Beaumont with some of the best talent in the area. You don't make those teams if you can't "hang with the big boys". Don't knock a kid because their parents live in a small town.
  6. This question might need to have "so far" behind it. The playoffs will produce this answer.
  7. If a team does not want you to slow the game down there is a chance they won't let you. They can press you the entire game if they want and its gonna make you speed up the game. The can also push the ball every offensive chance they get to keep the speed of the game up. It is a lot easier to keep the tempo of the game up than it is to slow it down. As for Coach Henry, he is a great coach and Lumberton was very lucky to get him. The success of his program will show in a few short years. You have to keep in mind that he is working with players that were coached for the past 3 years by a different coach. Give him time to teach them what he thinks will make them winners. I know Lumberton beat WOS this year and I think they beat East Chambers (am I right?). I know both schools are small but they are very very good teams. Both could knock off a lot of 4A teams. 16 points is pretty bad but don't judge a coach or his players by what happened in one game.

  9. This game does matter. If you look at the bracket, the team that takes first has an easier road through the playoffs. The team that takes 2nd will face or have a chance to face the district champs and 3rd place teams from the odd numbered districts and the 2nd place teams of the even districts in the region BEFORE the regional tournament. Those teams will be #5 Avery, #2 Martins Mill, Axtell, and the first and third place team out of West Sabine, Chireno, and Broaddus. That’s a tough road when you compare it to who you would face if you take 1st. You would play the district champs and 3rd place teams from the even numbered districts and 2nd place teams from the odd districts in the region. I hope that makes sense. The only tough one I really see if you take first would be #17 Grapeland. So winning this game Tues. night is going to be pretty big. Both teams stand a good chance of making it to the regional tournament regardless of which way they go but it would be a lot easier taking first.
  10. Actually I think you decide during your pre district meeting if you will have co champs or a district champ. I believe this district decided that in the case of a tie they would settle who was champion with a championship game. I could be wrong but i'm pretty sure it is each districts choice. If i'm wrong then someone correct me. If this is the case then this game will decide who is district champ and also who takes the #1 seed.
  11. Too close and too crazy to call for me.
  12. Who won the first game and what was the score? Also, who is the home team?
  13. This is true. The Warren vs. West Hardin game earlier in the season was very close. Also, Hardin has really surprised me this year. They have been playing some good ball.
  14. The Big Sandy vs. West Hardin game will not be played at the Montagne Center if played at all. West Hardin is still waiting to see if they will play in the playoff preview or play somewhere else.
  15. I am coaching in central TX now and had the pleasure to work with Kent Fuller last year and everything fan4all said is true. The man is a great coach and great role model for those kids. Definitely should be coach of the year.
  16. If you guys can pull that off I bet West Hardin people might throw a big party in the streets of Batson for the two towns. ;D
  17. Coach Fuller has done a great job with those boys and the boys have done a great job for him. When is the last time you saw people standing in line to get into West Hardin High School?
  18. No, I think they all went out to dinner together. Some place was serving crow as their special tonight.
  19. Great job guys. Soon as that game shows up on the internet i'm gonna have to watch it. Use these last couple of games to prep for the playoffs and make a run at Austin. I'm only an hour away from their now so you know i'll be there!!!
  20. I've heard that it will be at the Hoopinsider Playoff Preview in the Montagne Center.
  21. West Hardin has something to prove this game. No more worries about the perfect season plus have a healthy Letsinger and are at home. Given all these factors, I say West Hardin wins big to prove to everyone they arn't just a fluke.
  22. Jared and Zach....how are you guys gonna let Matthew Hashaw do that to ya. Good job Matt. Good luck Friday guys.
  23. Who did Coldsprings lose to in district?
  24. Coop, you may have to have 5 polls ranging from 1A to 5A and just rank top 5 in each classification. Gotta keep the people happy. Then again, all this controversy keeps the people coming back to the site.
  25. Nice job Coach Henry. Keep it up.
