At SETXsports, veterans Scott Loar (Game of the Week), Kris Bourque (West Sabine) and Jon Meek, Donnie Meek and Bobby Fillyaw (Newton) all return for the 2019 season. We are also pleased to welcome back on a full time basis the voice of the SIlsbee Tigers Mike Sanchez who will joined in the Silsbee booth by the returning Tim Scoggins. And a increased load means an increased crew as we welcome Dale Hernandez (Lumberton), Jay Dunson (Game of the Week) and Patrick Ronaghan (Game of the Week) to the SETXsports Broadcast Team. Combine them with our partners Gary Stelly (KOGT), Ken Luck (The Eagle) and Dave Marks (LSN-Port Arthur Memorial) and we have a outstanding crew that is ready to bring you the best of Southeast Texas football. As a reminder, if you have a school that is involved in an SETXsports produced game, it is NEVER too late to show your support with one of our sponsorship packages. If you wish to sponsor, please make sure to contact Scott Loar by sending him a personal message (user name Rebel Yeller) or emailing him at [email protected] as he will have the package to please you and ensure your support for your school. Get ready for one heck of a year of high school football at SETXsports.com, who is, as always, Your Source for Sports in Southeast Texas!
  8. 3 names: Lee Fedora, Glen West, Bryan Barbay.
  9. Okay guys, everyone has has their say on that. Let's get the thread back on where it is supposed to be, WO-S vs. Nederland on Friday.
  10. They did. Ken Stanley, who used to coach at Hemphill, is their new coach.
  11. td, I never realized it, but you are absolutely right. That is Mark Roberts who caught Reggie's last pass....a TD pass.
  12. Okay. But I saw the same video that AIE did on Facebook. It was on the home side on the outside of the big white line near both endzones. Of course, they may have had to take it up as the one near the end zone near Newton St. had the "%" backwards.
  13. Actually, I just spoke to Gary and he confirmed that he will be doing the WO-S/Nederland game. He was just waiting to see from Nederland if the spot he uses was still there. So we will have the link to that game up on Friday.
  14. I asked Gary Stelly last week as to which game he was broadcasting and he hadn't decided yet. As far as I know, the Bulldogs' games are still being broadcast on KLVI.
  15. He is probably out on the lake somewhere or in Mason watching his grandson.
  16. But to be fair, I'd add Silsbee, Jasper and Newton to pakronos list. In fact, if we are talking pound for pound instead of overall, I'll take Jasper or Newton.
  17. Somebody better go to La Marque and make sure that pakronos doesn't need an EMT.😆
  18. I do understand that you might disagree with ryker's notion that the playcalling under Coach Neece is "the best in 3A." But ryker does have evidence to put him up there with others. With Kirbyville, I don't know what the issue really is, but the results of the Neece era versus the post Neece era do indicate there was a recipe that Neece had that his successors have yet to be able to replicate. As to Newton, I may be one of the few, but I think that Neece was a big cog in Newton's offensive success as he made the passing game at Newton more a part of the Eagle offense than in the past. Now, I'll have to agree that credit to that also goes to players that have graduated like Josh Foster, Tamauzia Brown and Noah Williams. But all those parts are gone and we'll have to see how the new parts fit in. This is certainly not a knock of former Newton OC Bryan Barbay as he definitely has shown his stuff at Coldspring, Newton and is currently doing so at Jasper. But yeah, Anahuac definitely needed something and I agree with ryker that Greg Neece might just be it.
