  1. Hardin 6-2 prediction.
  2. You would think so.
  3. Just being honest but PN-G and Brenham will probably get ugly. Nederland has a chance to keep the LaMarque game within 10.
  4. Alverez has done a great job at Kirbyville.
  5. Make the call Runners on 1st and 2nd, 1st pitch to the next batter is insideand becomes a wild pitch that goes to the backstop. Silently, as if it were a delayed call, the plate umpire raises his hands. The runners advanced unchallenged, to 2nd and 3rd. After a moment the umpire comes out behind home plate and announces as he walks toward the 3rd base coach, in a voice that all could hear, "you are not going to like this coach" He proceeded to tell the coach that he had anticipated the ball hitting the batter (which it did not) but in retrospect he knew that it did not. His action had no effect on the play (and thank goodness, none on the game). The catcher went to retreive the ball and made no throw, he had chased the ball without regard to the umpires action. The pitch was a ball and the count remained 1 Ball and 0 Strikes Question: in making the wrong call and than making the runners return to 1st and 2nd, was an unfair advantage given to the defensive team or since there was no apparent effect on the play or the catcher; or should the 'anticipated call' by the umpire be considered incidental and the play stand?
  6. 4/26/06 SABINE LAKE: Trout fishing has been great during the lulls in the wind. No monster trout but plenty of good keepers have been caught from mid-lake to the North end of the lake. LURES: Pumpkin/Char or Glo/Char on 1/4 ounce jig head. They can be fished straight or on a "Mauler". Rattle Traps, Hogan R's, Spoons, and some top water lures are producing. Reds and Flounder are scattered and slow in the lake. SABINE RIVER: Using the same lures as in the open lake some nice trout have been stacked up in 12 to 15 feet of water on points. Vertical fishing works just fine once you locate the fish. Reds are scarce but river flounder fishing is very good. The Bass action is slow and the fish are small. BIG LAKE: Trout action very strong in West Cove. Most anglers using live shrimp fished under the birds. Some trout to 9 pounds have been caught this past week. TOLEDO BEND: Bass action o.k. but the fish are small. You may have to go through 15 or 20 to catch 8 keepers. Wacky worms, Carolina rigs and Texas rig worms in 8 to 12 feet of water on the flats best daytime shot. Night fishing is better with the small Frog getting a lot of use. No really large bass reported in either case. Crappie action is great on 1/8th ounce jigs with a black/chartreuse or Smoke/silver trailer. These fish caught "Strolling" in 10 to 12 feet of water. Once you locate some nice Crappie you can go back and forth in the same area. A 47 pound Opp was caught on the South end last week. SAM RAYBURN: Several 9 pound bass caught in the big tournament last weekend. Some on small crank baits in 8 to 12 feet of water, some on Carolina rigs on small "Brush Hogs", lizards and worms. Water melon Green with red flakes or Pumpin with green flakes were popular colors. The Sinko in the same colors took bass in the 6 to 10 foot water both inside and outside the grass lines. The spawn is just about over and the bass are moving out more toward the 12 foot or deeper water. Crappie fishing is very good on Sam Rayburn also with small "Road Runners" with a black/chartreuse trailer fished along the edge of the grass producing some really nice fish.

  13. AUSTIN – Only 53 schools in Texas test athletes for steroids, according to a University Interscholastic League survey. Of the 1,227 Texas school districts that received the medical advisory committee's survey, 1,170 – roughly 95 percent – responded. "I think this says that our schools are concerned about steroid abuse, and we want to make sure we get down the correct information about it," said committee member Dr. Cary Tanamachi. "The thing I'm pleased to see is the majority of our students are not abusing the drug." A significant reason most schools don't test is the cost. Few Texas schools check for steroids It would cost an average of $19,000 each year for a school to administer the tests, UIL athletic coordinator Mark Cousins said at the committee's meeting Sunday. "I don't know if we'll be able to mandate steroid testing because of the cost, and it's more of a local district issue," said Tanamachi, who is also on the Mesquite school board. "Steroids is not just a problem in the schools, it's a problem in society. Our job is to educate the school districts about the problem, and they will then handle a lot of the responsibilities." Mesquite is one of at least eight area school districts that tests for steroids in some manner. A testing program began in schools in 1996, and 10 positive results for anabolic steroids have been discovered. According to the survey, 4,138 tests given last year yielded one positive result.
  14. Will it happen or not?
  15. Had to watch it again!
  16. Sorry Dad. I know they try but just telling you what i'm told.
  17. Your right. The problem i had was them putting the blame on the Coach. It's not the Coach trust me.
  18. Friday Night Lights Rudy Junction Boys
  19. I really honestly don't think a change would help? They've had good coaches there before and the same stuff happens. I've even had a Coach from there tell me that.
